OTRS for the win. Maximum power and maximum flexibility, just take care to invest some time getting it just right. -
That would be "guessing". Self-submit and spend time and resources invoking PHP? WTF? This is the user agent's responsibility, and the correct solution is a reset button.

It's similar to, but not quite the same as, Pikelet Clean.

You probably want to have this moved to the Mac forum then, since it's not a generic question...

Python 3 is useless until it's included in major distributions, which it isn't. When that day comes, there is 2to3.py.

Alternatively, and to save headaches, re-map the device in your udev rules so that it again appears as eth0. This stops your successor going "whaaaat? there's only one card in this machine, it should be eth0". -
That's all of it??? That snippet won't even compile. (don't use short-form PHP delimiters, by the way.) An HTML reset button in your form. This is not a job for PHP.

Please back up that assertion. What gives you reason to believe this? -
Germany, actually. If you believe RIPE.

So you have even more duty not to bring it into disrepute by contravening licenses.

It is not sufficient. In this case, Munroe has indicated that an acceptable form of attribution is a link: Just accidentally mentioning the name of the comic in passing, with no reference of where to find it, is not IMO acceptable attribution.
-
And they all need attributing, in accordance with the license terms. Anywho.... Perl is very powerful when you have data to deal with, but it's a weird language (and in six months time, you won't be able to read your own code with all those mnemonics lying around). Python is much easier to pick up.

I thought that was always the case. -
That's not "fail", that's "withdraw from service and recommend a more suitable device". There's nothing actually dangerous about it when used within the intended operational limits, that's the key. Again not a fail, just inspector incompetence. Who?

I roll hotfixes with a small startup script that checks whether it's already been applied to the machine and if not, does so.

You have a right of reply*: it belongs in the forum called "Message the Admins". *disclaimer: not actually a right, but as close as you'll ever get.

No, it doesn't have to happen, but your choosing to make it so is really making me dislike you. Starting a new thread to argue about why yours was closed is not an appropriate response. If a thread is closed by a moderator or an admin, it's an indication that the arguing and fighting has gone too far and it's time to abandon the topic and do something else for a bit. Or some work or something. Please stop filling my inbox with gripes.
