I had an issue where some web pages could loaded up fine and some dontv loaded up at all. It turned out to be MTU setting within the router as it was set too low. May be you could check that.

I'm not sure whether this might be the answer for you. You do not have to add any printers to the RM CC4 server, you can just use another server and add Print and Document services role to it. If you go into each Printer Properties => Sharing => tick on List in the directory. Then, RM CC4 Management console will pick up the Printer and then use the console to assign the printer to each area. If you want to remove any old printers, you can go to the Printer Properties => Sharing and untick "List in the directory", then you wont see any old printers in your Management console again.

I do not think the Bursar knows best than you in terms of IT, otherwise the school would not have employed you. I think, the reason he is in charge of the IT budget is due to he knows how to manage money and at that time the school did not have confidence to let the previous IT Tech to get to know much about IT budget and how much should be allocated to improve the IT network infrastructure. It seems like the school did not have enough IT knowledge and decision making on IT improvement priorities otherwise they would have upgraded all network switches prior purchasing the wireless system. But now you are in the job, you should convince the senior management (not the bursar) that you are capable of taking the role (because you have more than 10 years of experience). Mr Jiminy advice is quite collect that you should produce some documentations to demonstrate urgent requirements on improving the school network security and network performance to meet the demand from the new wireless system that is going to be installed soon.

Any PC is compatible with CC4. You just need to import software drivers using RM Management console.

May be I am off the topic, but either PC or Mac is just one element of Music Tech and both should not be a matter if the teacher knows how to teach Music Tech. All the software are fine whether that is Cubase, Pro Tool, Logic Pro or Reason, etc. To get students to learn and interest them, you need to have all the right gears e.g. Audio Interface, MIDI controller, synthesizer, good pair of headphones (good pair of active monitors if in studio) , mixer, mic, different music sequencing software, good choice of plugins, Good quality of sampling and the list go on and on. I went to two Music Tech schools both in London and Manchester, they have both PC and Mac for various purposes. If for just MIDI recording and simple music on the music sequencing then use PC providing each PC has good quality Audio Interface. If for Live Music recording then use Mac.

What I did 1. Extract Target Tracker.exe using winrar software to get its MSI file. 2. Use RM Application Wizard to package it up 3. Deploy the software using RM CC4 Management console I am sure it will never fail again.
