Hi all, We have 140 of these EEE pc's - we've configured 1 or 2 to restrict students from doing certain things, but to do the same process on the other 135+ is going to take weeks! Has any one had any luck in imaging, I am not that familiar with Linux (learning slowly) - so wasn't sure if It would be a similar task as doing a windows machine. Cheers

I have ultimate running on a Laptop at home, which I barely use other than that - I am still happy with XP - can't see a reason to change over.

Office 2007 on his laptop will only work for a certain amount of days or times opened, before it will have to be activated before he can use it again.

All our Access points are identically configured, so the Laptops work fine whereever.

Ok recovery console might not be installed. Download this iso and burn it to a disk, you must burn as an ISO - not a standard burn, as it won't be bootable. http://www.thecomputerparamedic.com/files/rc.iso Boot from this disk, and there you have a recovery console! Done the trick for me!

Hi all, Windows XP Pro machine Anyone aware of a utility which can clear/reset a password at the logging screen. I've got a teachers laptop, and they've forgotten the password - don't really want to format it, or start fresh. Any help would be great Thanks

Ok thanks for the help - got Joomla installed on my webserver and inputted all the details. It appears on my site with all the sample text....... How can I start adding my own stuff, I realise I can login to change the latest info. Am I going to have to edit the php? If so what I should I use? Sorry for the silly questions, but as you can guess i am a NOOB!

I've just repaired my sisters laptop and reinstalled Windows Vista Home premium which came with the Laptop. She came back to me last week to say the games folder was missing?!? The basic games, like solitaire, etc. I've had a look on forums but not rally any solutions. I've been to control panel > programs & features > turn windows features on or off - but it's not listed there. I've looked in Program files and it doesn't appear to be installed. Is there a download or addon?

Just downloaded Joomla from their website - I've loads of folders like administrator, cache, componetns, editior etc. Whats the next step? I have a webserver to try it out on. I've no experience with it, am just interested in trying it out as quite a few people use it on here.

Did you do all the site in Joomla? Looks impressive!
