During a chat with the mods yesterday afternoon I mentioned that I had never played Monkey Island but it was on my gaming bucket list. Until this point I hadn't really realised I had a list of games in my head I still hadn't played yet, but always meant too and I thought it might be fun if we shared each others unlayed games. So in no particular order, here are the top 5 on my list: 1. Monkey Island 2. Any Witcher game 3. Among Us 4. Grim Fandango 5. Star Wars KOTOR The sad thing is, I actually own most of these. I blame Steam sales!

I thought the unit was 'one goat'? -
Seen in the Black Horse pub in Preston (a gorgeous Victorian pub with ceramic bar and orginal fittings/layout): This may actually be new. I didn't know the company was still going! - https://thomas-crapper.com/

[bug/error] Site is pushing to HTTP
Dos_Box replied to CyBeRkId2002's topic in EduGeek.net Site Problems
Yes, hopefully soon. Remember, all current logins and authentication are secure, and the new site will be fully HTTPS. We shall let you know in good time when the new site is to go live, or perhaps may drop a few hidden hints as to the when -
A new trailer is out -

I really can't wait to see that. I feel cheated that the launch has been put back for so long, but everything comes to he who waits as they say.

Aparently there were landing rockets that cut in at the last second to make the landing gentler and you can see that in the footage (it really is at teh last second though!). There's still only SapceX doing the serious space stuff atm though, which is a shame.

And they have much better production values too!

I've been meaning to get my hands on a PS3 for a while now. Mainly becuase the system is home to many very good retro game collections (80's games) that never made it to the Xbox and, as has been pointed out, prices are silly low to get your hands on one. Ideally I'd like to get the earlier PS2 backwards compatible versions, but the price for those can be very high.

Watch Richard Branson fly to space on Virgin Galactic's SpaceShipTwo!
Dos_Box replied to 6Foot2's topic in General Chat
Watched it laive yesterday and was baffled as to how bad the production was, compared to say, SpaceX it looked very ill-prepared. Some cockpit footage and audio would have been great, as well as some footage from inside the passenger compartment in zero-g was needed. Not sure how long they had weightless, but it couldn't have been more than a few mins. I stifled a giggle when they showed the 'special edition' Range Rovers which they announced as being available to order for all Virgin Galactic customers. It was at that point I realised it will always be out of my price range. -

You didn't start a thread about it though, did you?

Time for the joy to spread once more. This will be written by Neil Gaiman and John Finnamore (who also co-wrote a lot of the first season - which I didn't know!). The plot will be based on ideas that Pratchett and Gaiman banded around for a sequel to the orginal book. https://www.bbc.com/mediacentre/bbcstudios/2021/good-omens-blessed-with-sequel-season/

I found this really interesting, especially in light of what we know now, but they had much of it nailed down almost 70 years ago! https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p0181bfw/buried-treasure-stonehenge

TPM modules don't cost that much, circa £9-£13 which would be far cheaper than a full upgrade - https://www.scan.co.uk/search?q=tpm+module

John McAfee: Anti-virus creator found dead in prison cell
Dos_Box replied to 3s-gtech's topic in General Chat
The tech industry doesn't really do rock and roll, but he certainly did. RIP John, it was a hell of a ride!
