It's sooo very busy today, we've not had much time to ourselves. Nice to see as we were quite apprehensive about turnout this year, but it seems the sun has brought people out in their droves

One thing that, and this is my own fault, has annoyed me is that I packed clothing for a normal BETT, so I have a warm coat and jumper. The weather has been amazing so far and leaving the show at the end of the day is a bit of a shock. Daylight and warm. It's the end times I tell you! Us northerners may have to sacrifice something to appease the weather gods!

Yes, pretty much all restrictions have been lifted, however stands are doing what they can, and almost everyone has hand sanitiser. On the DLR almost everyone is wearing masks (inclusing ourselves).

It's very busy today and a bit of a relief for all the exhibitors as no one was quite sure what the attendance would be like We've already had many of you come to say hello and pick up some freebies and look forwards to seeing more of you over the next couple of days. If you are coming then please remember to take whatever precautions you need due to the increased coivid rates in London and the SE.

Sadly we won't be able to put on pizza for you all this year. Given the increased rates of covid and the personal measures everyone is taking it would be very irresponsible for us to be offering food on the stand. We are very sorry about this and we hope you can understand the reasons. Fingers crossed for circular cheese based lunches next year.

We usually put pizza on for members at lunchtime each day, but this will be dependant on the policies at ExCel at the time. Cake would be nice, but we have to keep things simple I'm afraid. Feel free to bring your own cake and share it out

I should have added that pizza availability will be dependant on the rules within the show when it takes place.

Time to fire up the BETT forum once more, with only a few weeks to go. I am going to have to repeat the question I posted a bit back and ask, are you going? It would really help if we knew what kind of numbers we can expect, after all, there's nothing worse than not enough pizza!

Having suffered 'visitors' in the loft in a previous house I can highly recommend your getting a decent ultrasonic rodent scarer as sometimes they simply don't go for bait. I have one in my loft here and put in a new pair of batteries each year and to date I haven't had them come back in (yup, I got them here too during my first winter). Usually this will happen in the winter when they are looking for somewhere warmer than outside.

TLDR: It's a bit of a dog! With Intel having it's new cards delayed slightly I think AMD may have got a bit cash-grabby with their new low end card.

The usual trick around here is to put it at the bottom of your drive and one of the roving gangs of scrappies in Transit flat-beds will come and pick it up within a few hours!
