It'll be interesting to see how it does out of reviewers lab environments and I look forward to hearing how it does

I see the scalpers are already out on Amazon with vendors trying to charge £350+

I'm very much looking forward to that, March seems so very far away!

The set is coming along rather nicely! It's just a shame it doesn't come with the DeLorean. The car is just shy of £50 too!

I had been eyeing up a used 3060 (got one for my son the other year), but having looked at a lot of reviews, it certainly gives the 4060 a run for it's money with more RAM, higher clock speeds and memory bus for slightly less money, I think I can see myself grabbing one after Xmas.

Apparently they are to announce at CES, but with them just releasing the higher tier models first, it will allow Intel to gain quite a foothold I think. For those of us that do need a GPU for casual gaming and productivity the B580 will be an utter godsend at that price level.
-
You can get the B580 for £259.99 currently in the UK. The US prices are without tax added remember, but usually you can do a rough 1-to-1 conversion for UK pricing once you add on purchase tax in the US. It's nice to have some competion back in the market again, and Intel really needs the boost atm!

I've been soldiering on with my Radeon RX 580 8GB for some years now whilst eyeing up the GPU market suspiciously, and since lockdown and the stupid levels of price gouging that went on, and, TBH, never seemed to recover as manufacturers seem to have their cards still priced at a level just beyond what people would find accepable. Even the used market is not one that I'd be happy buying from given the higer prices of much older cards. But since the Intel ARC B580 was released the other week, along with the very positive reviews it has racked up, I'm giving it serious consideration, especially with a circa £250 price tag for a 12GB card and may just jump in. This may all depend on the pricing and performance of AMD and Nvidia's new cards which are due along in the next few months and with Intel having a great price-point, it may well be that the two major players will be forced to drop the price of some of their models. Let's hope so! Anyway, if any of you out there have already got your hands on a Intel B580, then please let em know as I'd be happy to hear about it's use and performance in the real world

It really is, and it fades in and out very well

It's well worth it, very funny indeed and there are plenty of off script moments that have been left in (often the funniest bits), and you will play 'spot-the-actor' a lot as guest\minor parts are filled with 'names'.

I've been binge watching Brassic this past week or so and kicking myself for not watching this sooner. It's very funny, has a lot of heart and not what I was expectign from the orginal trailers I saw years back. It also helps that it is filmed around my neck of the woods, so recognise many of the shooting locations I'm also enjoying the new Dune series and the second season of Silo atm.

A late entry this one. It's a Capruride Android Auto\Apple Car Play display with bluetooth and a dashcam for £121 - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Carpuride-W903-Wireless-Portable-Bluetooth-Black/dp/B0CXPJ8JZM?crid=3SUDSK5T8X8DZ&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.RydevmzxP5HhKX100FhjC0_aR9x6RJw0Nbymc3HBBaNiPTbg-4WgFZ9YywxFt2kXUpM3sSYpNjS---HVwSeVkl5spoV9_ZGCvGuYTuEyGtpwR9Yn3R_4TIWKR0JihSisFtjHDJVLU7VU4BI2W0uVJxDH5qv2j_YnwlKhvyQDQP49_PF8iQwjxGs_yaZ8NA_J6QRb3Pk10p8Fx2QtOuYlNzT9C2ZfSo0K9wDg-gi0rmU.6vk7Mhhk2G8YsfaDcEDjyvEfc275xVMpJtdGXfhaFVQ&dib_tag=se&keywords=carpuride&nsdOptOutParam=true&qid=1733147129&sprefix=carp%2Caps%2C554&sr=8-3&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.23648568-4ba5-49f2-9aa6-31ae75f1e9cd I can highly recommend this one too as I have one, and it's been invaluble in a car that doesn't have the ability to fit in a whole new head unit (Fordk Kuga). It will even map t the steering wheel controls, which is nice!

I was given a Playmobile Back To The Future Advent calendar, and inside was a nice little extra, a lenticular copy of the photo Marty had of his siblings, but done with Playmobile characters It's quite hard to put down as it actually does the fade effect too!

My daughter is away at Uni, so getting a new sim swapped out may be a PITA as I'm still managing her account! .

Thanks both, I'll get that sorted out now then

I'm in the process of renewing my daughters phone contract. Three have a Black Friday offer on for a 40GB pay monthly SIM (which she was on before) for £10 per month - https://www.three.co.uk/shop/sim-only/pay-monthly?tenure=24&tier=lite&data=40gb Perfect I think, then start to read the fine print: I then went to their price increase page - https://www.three.co.uk/support/bills-and-contracts/your-monthly-plan-and-usage/price-increase - which states this: As I'm recovering from an operation and on some pretty good meds which make thinking fuzzy at times, I just want to poll the EduGeek collective to see if I'm reading this correctly, as it seems to suggest that it will increase the price each month, but on the same page says this: So, is it just referring to a single annual monthly rise (which is fine and we all expect), or is this a 'deal' where you end up paying a lot more month on month later on? Any help greatly received.

Yes we'll be there as usual and we'll be there with ICT Direct again in January It used to be you could have a (paid for) seperate entry in the showguide to promote yourself if being hosted on another stand, but the organisers have got rid of that facility sadly.
