  1. Moving to the Wireless Networks forum.
  2. I can only imagine that there si someone out there was trying to download the entire store like they did with the Wii U and DS. You'd need a SAN to store it all on though!
  3. One foot in the grave so to speak. Xbox 360 games will still receive any new upates required + any updates when you initially run a game, and you can still download any previously purchased games, although for how long it does not say - https://support.xbox.com/en-GB/help/xbox-360/store/xbox-360-marketplace-update If you have a 360 and have not yet got an Xbox One or Series X , it may well be time to download all of your purchases whilse you still can as they haven't given a cut off date for this facility to be removed. As a Series X owner, I must say that it's a terribly dull time to be a console owner atm, and mainly play older titles!
  4. Sorting out the October EDIT Conf venue (still). I have a place I'd like us to host it in (and you SE\London folks will be happy with the location), but until someone at the other end can pull out their finger and provide me with a floorplan (or even pick up the phone!) I'm playing a waiting game!
  5. My boxed games (for the most part) are all in the attic, apart from the HUGE pile of Retro Gamer magazines which are taking over a Kallax unit in my bedroom. I really must get them onto eBay.
  6. Another one to add to the summer cinema list. With Deadpool 3 out today and Despicable Me 4 and, possibly, Twisters, it's making up for what has been, to date, a rather bland year for films (Dune 2 stand fast).
  7. Isn't it amazing just how much space we now save with everything in the cloud (no need for physical software\games), flat screens and wireless devices.
  8. Admit it, who had a desk like this (or similar)? I did, and I'm pretty sure they can still fit in a flat bed scanner on that bottom shelf!
  9. They are also very banned now for spamming!
  10. Retire! - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/315090197159?itmmeta=01J3FFVA0D6JMS93MD3MWFBM13&hash=item495cd6daa7:g:iMsAAOSwtpBloE3Q&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA8GuqmG2p3X0aHpSxdd6r6O4ZaM4rJSTvMW81NYJubu4%2FJ%2BqjK5XX0fGiRIcZviM%2FfRbsLy2koD4jqVYjxLNz%2FucYkxuIRh8nJz%2FL0k2ZbCJ6j6xsXkMAn9VGCEiFOCf4AHMxpgDgO3cMgB14qCiK37jWK%2B10PEWjy5UvYQ%2BkfBIP03TBsY0iFRxNfT3ntzXh4Zf4EEGU%2FYajETkWh7QwrVX0kc4ixtM8CbFe4mAZEDfJEAeDRBP2cnX%2FACHDXa7KKyjHwyfJbAz%2F8k1Q9r8PcoPcCzyog5iEu4M1y7PzwSYWcdYl0Jh9M84Qq2mQyi9CLA%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABFBMpqDt75tk
  11. Following on from the comments earlier about DVD,s, then how about the long forgotten (and lamented) MPEG 2 decoder card whch was needed if (back in the day) you wanted to watch DVD's on your PC.
  12. If prior industry examples are anything to go by, and I'm thinking about LastPass here, then it's usually two strikes and you're out. With something like Cloudstrike, I imagine untangling yourself from that to another platform for large companies and organisations would be a task not undertaken lightly.
  13. Took part in a moth survey yesterday morning and got to see lots of species I've never got to see until now. It also gave my new phone's camera (OnePlus 9 Pro) a work out. Pics of the Poplar Hawk Moth, Garden Tiger and Buff Tip below:
  14. Yeah, it's a stange one this, some schools finish today and some next week. Scotland is off already.
  15. I know many of you will be in work for most of the period, and that many of you now have a large amount of tedious work to do in the wake of todays global Crowdstrike oopsie, but we hope you all have a great break and time to recouperate
  16. Achievement Unlocked - Pyrex Dish!
  17. In my defense, I did mention in my first post that I was after a pressure washer!
  18. I went with this one as it had some useful bits and is a lot smaller! - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B088KSGGGR?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1
  19. That's why I always use Camelx3 (I'm not writing it out again!).
  20. A weird one, but since my hip op, I still can't put on shoes or socks. These Sketchers 'slip on' trainers should fit the bill nicely, and @£28.50 won't feel like I'm being robbed - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Skechers-Mens-Trainer-Summits-52811/dp/B078K7S9X5?ref=dlx_prime_dg_dcl_B078K2CBM1_dt_sl7_0a&th=1&psc=1
  21. And the first one! A Ring doorbell + indoor camera for £59.98 down from £149.99 - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ring-Doorbell-Wireless-battery-powered-installation/dp/B0BRRWS6X3/?_encoding=UTF8&_encoding=UTF8&ref_=dlx_deals_sc_dcl_img_dt&pd_rd_w=7IQcl&content-id=amzn1.sym.16b46a9b-29d7-4957-b2cd-bbfaa07776f5&pf_rd_p=16b46a9b-29d7-4957-b2cd-bbfaa07776f5&pf_rd_r=S5A6Z8VC8VKAR3PJSH5J&pd_rd_wg=pP6cn&pd_rd_r=b60464c3-942b-4c5d-aedc-8e1f80d345ab It's the cheapest it's been according to CamelCamelCamel and on an early access deal.
  22. That was the one! Got it restored now, many thanks and have some rep!
  23. Ta, I could try that. I had already fixed the screen on this once before with no issues, but is worth a punt. Bloody Apple!
  24. I'm currently sat with a friend's son's iPhone 11 that I have recently replaced the screen on (again). It seems to have a problem when restoring the iOS image via iTunes. It goes through the whole process but then throws up the 'unknown thing has happened, error 9' message and won't complete. I've scoured the web and it seems that there are a viariety of 'fixes', all of which I've tried (even dug out a genuine Apple cable to use) but with no joy. One fox that I haven't tried is to allow iTues through the Windows firewall, but only because it refuses to be listed in there. Not sure if his son has tried to jailbreak the phone, but he had dropped it (hense the new screen) which may have damaged somethign internally, but it is all very frustrating. Anyone have any helpful ideas?
