How have you sorted out the fact that there is a local my documents and network documents? If I open my username folder in the top left of the screen, I get 2x My Documents, 2x My Videos, 2x My Pictures & 2x My Videos

You wouldn't happen to have a link to the reg file would you? And do you run it for every user that logs on? Or just on your default profile?

Did anybody anybody find a solution to this? I'm experiencing the same problem, when a user logs in and goes to their "User Folder" on the desktop, they see 2x My Documents, 2x My Pictures, 2x My Videos and 2x My Music.

Is this Windows Enabler option the best way to copy the profiles at the moment? Could I use this method to copy a users profile (That's I've customized) over the Default User's profile, then use the Ghost Console to create and image and then push it out (and reset the SIDs)?

Another option would be to use Google Apps Educational Edition and setup the students with hosted gmail accounts?

I applied to test Google Wave as a Google Apps Admin, I receieved my invite and when I tried to log in was told that it wasn't available for Google Apps yet...

Hi everyone, We are running Exchange 2007 on Server 2008, all our clients are using Outlook 2007. I recently updated a whole bunch of user's names (People getting married, switching to their traditional african names etc etc...) and thought that was that. When I want to send an email to one of them, I open Outlook, Click new message, Click To, and the new names are all there. However, a number of people are saying it hasn't updated on theirs - it's been 2 weeks. After doing a bit of reading, I found something that said that the Exchange 2007 Address Book doesn't automatically update and must be done manually: * Get-AddressList | Update-AddressList * Get-EmailAddressPolicy | Update-EmailAddressPolicy I tried running those and was given a screen of angry yellow writing: [PS] C:\Users\Administrator.DAINFERN\Desktop>Get-AddressList | Update-AddressList WARNING: The recipient "Dainfern.College/Microsoft Exchange System Objects/OAB Version 2" is invalid and could not be updated. Good evening Having a problem with Firefox connecting through a Threat Management Gateway server. It constantly asks for Authentication for the proxy server. I've told it to remember it a number of times and yet it keeps asking. Everytime I press "OK" you can see something loads on whatever page you're trying to access. Anybody else experienced this? Thanks

I know there are some threads similar to this, but the other threads all seem to be that they can't get WPAD working at all. I've just moved our ISA Server to a newer box and decided to try out TMG. I setup everything to match the ISA Server and everything is working perfectly. I setup WPAD and autodiscovery via DNS and DHCP to connect to the new TMG Server and everything seems to connect and work as it should. Local clients (laptops not on the domain) pickup the proxy server via autodiscovery and so do all our domain clients which are set to auto discover and also have the auto discover settings box checked via Group Policies. I left the 2 boxes to run concurrently for a while incase there were any problems and I have received no complaints. Yesterday I shutdown the old ISA server and today, the problems began... On some computers! If I try and access the internet with "Auto Discover Settings" I get Technical Information (for support personnel) • Error Code: 403 Forbidden. The Forefront TMG denied the specified Uniform Resource Locator (URL). (12202) • IP Address: 209.85.227.147 • Date: 2009/10/01 07:44:20 AM [GMT] • Server: Internet-01.Dainfern.College • Source: proxy If I manually set the proxy server to the TMG Box, it works straight away. But, like I said, this only seems to be affecting *SOME* of the computers, the rest are connecting via "Auto Discover Settings" as usual. On the PCs that are not connecting, if I go to: http://wpad/wpad.dat it gives me the option to download the file instantly. Has anybody else experienced these issues? Have I configured something incorrectly? Why does it work on some PCs? More Importantly, why did everything work until I shut down the old server (even though everything was going through the new one)? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I'm having exactly the same issues

I've been playing around with this and it doesn't seem to work. My rules allow through only 'Authenticated Users' and when in Gateway/SecureNAT mode, it doesn't ask the user for any credentials, nor does it use the integrated ones and so it will not allow browsing. Looks like I'm going to have to use the proxy server settings...

I think I may have misunderstood this whole Exchange 2007 SP2 will not run on Server 2008 R2 issue. I assumed it meant that Exchange 2007 Service Pack 2 cannot be installed to a machine running Server 2008 R2? I'm trying to install it to a server Running Server 2008 SP2 and I keep getting: "[ERROR] Cannot find at least one domain controller running Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 or later in domain 'DC=DCName,DC=com,DC=DCName'. This could be the result of moving domain controller objects in Active Directory. Check that at least one domain controller running Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 or later is located in the 'Domain Controllers' organizational unit (OU) and rerun setup." So just a warning to all of you, it refers to your Active Directory Forest as well... To anybody interested or experiencing the same dilemma: Everything in Outlook from after 31st July DID get deleted. Good thing I did go to everyone and create a manual backup!

Long story short, our Exchange 2007 Server has had a major stuff around and the latest backup was from July 31st. What I want to know is, if I bring that online, will everyone with Cached outlook setups sync back or forward? In other words, will everything they have cached after the 31st of July disappear because it'll assume the Exchange copy is newer? or will it put everything in their cached outlook into the database? This is the difference between me having to go to every user with a laptop/desktop PC and exporting their outlook to PST before bringing the exchange server online... Google Apps is starting to look veeeeeeeery good

Have you tried this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/275461 I hate syncronization/offline files! Always giving problems, wish I'd never introduced them to it in the first place! If anybody can recommend a good 3rd Party (preferably free) manual syncronization tool, please let me know and I'll change in a heartbeat!

I don't remember ever setting anything when installing Server 2008. When installing Server 2003 I always used to use "Per Client" - each client needed a license.
