I currently have squid cache proxy server running on the school network offloading alot of the students workload on the internet. Everything is working for the students as it runs via the local councils proxy on there port 8080.. (has filtering etc) I need to create a new instance of the squid proxy to run for teachers/administrator on port 8084. I've done a bit of research and cant seem to find a way to implement this.. Thanks in advance!

boot from the normal cd/dvd pressing C until apple sign pops up on the apple menu on the top left there is reset password option then restart when done

I've got the program to load now.. had to open port 2607 (inbound) and 2104 (outbound).. set manually in ISA configuration. and obviously the normaly VNC ports, and standard ping ports. It seems thats what ports they use to send broadcast signal out to clients and back again

I've got the same error.. windows server 2003 with ISA.. any ideas?

Can I have the MSI version ?

Will just stop the gdm service, free up a bit of system resources

whats easiest way to uninstall the GUI.. as im only using shell?

How would i check?

DNS is pointed to its self.. its under no load.. i've reinstalled ssh and open ssh server and seems to be fine at the moment.. might of been a glitch

Seems to running fine etc Only problem I am having is with SSH it seems slow or just times out even when in use.. using putty to access..

*Update* Installed it with ease used this tutorial : Ubuntu 8.04 LTS Server (Hardy Heron) Install Guide - Zimbra :: Wiki Seems to be working fine etc logged in with admin as test, did mydomain.com as a test. I did notice that there is options on the admin console to add domains, hopefully just need to add there and set the dns entries to point back to server when i've added it. Now to get link with Windows Server 2003 Active Directory users... Thats enough for one day, thanks for your help people!

Personal Preference and want it in house..

Wont be able to do it that way, we just want to have a internal email or virtual domain that does not exist. To do this do I need to enter a made up domain manually in to the DNS Server of the network ? and set up MX records etc
