To be fair what the papers show are no different to what is shown on the TV news, there are dead and dying people on there all the time but people don't throw their TV's out. I just think people overreact and then slate papers and people who view them with no real justification to their arguement. With Gadaffi most of the mainstream news showed him shot.

I know it's crazy how someone can have so much venom and hatred over a newspaper, it is sad really. So many people have so many elitist attitudes about which newsaper you read, and how reading one over another makes you inferior or superior depending on view, get over it, as X said if you don't like it don't read it.

I was going to initially put in some bigger faster drives and SSD for the OS but it is a HP server so I had to get HP drives. I did not want to take the chance that non HP drives would screw it up, HP SSD's are fortunes!

The Drives we ordered to kick the system off (they are 7200rpm) with a view to adding larger capacity ones later when budgets allow.

I am using hyper-V to set up a virtualization server with an aim virtualise my servers. It's a HP DL385 G7 with 2 16 core AMD's (32 cores!!) and 32gig Ram, the drives I have are 4 160GB SFF drives 3 questions: 1. How many servers do you think this will run, DNS, TMG, AD, AV-Server etc? 2. How would you partiton the drives, would you raid the lot, 2 mirrors, or 1 mirror and 1 larger logical drive? 3. Say don't do that, use it for something else you maniac! Cheers

Solved it, Created a new Zone for the external domain and then created an A record pointing to the internal server, now working.!!

Hi, We have just had a moodle server setup and hosted on our network, the server is accessable from the internet using our external domain name which is forwarded by the domain hosts to the server on the network. The problem I am having is that when I try to access the moodle server using the internal IP to access it inside the network I get no formatting, graphics etc. The reason is that the moodle is only configured to read info requested from the moodle url and not the IP. As per normal we are unable to go out and come back into the network through the firewall. What changes do I have to make to DNS so that when someone inside the network types the moodle url it send it to the internal IP and the server thinks its orginatng from the moodle URL. Thanks

Steve Jobs, not a visionary but a maker of decent phones, I pick mine up on Friday
-
Not when apple is concerned by the looks of it, unless you proclaim Jobs to be the greatest visonary the world has ever seen and the second coming of Jesus Christ you are just dumb. I will tell you what is dumb, is the Princess Diana type out pouring for a man who was at the end of the day a businessman. And I doubt if Jobs was responsible for the marketing of the IPhone and IPad as someone said earlier, that would be down to the Apple Marketing Team. Jobs may have had a few ideas 20/30 years ago but as everyone knows when your company becomes global the only real decisons CEO's make is to where they are playing golf this afternoon. Anyone see all those idiots holding IPads with the candle app as a vigil, lol.

So where would be be now without the industrial revolution, or did that happen in the last 30 years, or the invention of the wheel or was that in the last 30 years etc. etc. Or the Microprocessor.

I am sorry, now there is a prime example of over hyping, what a load of old tosh (no pun intended).

Hence my post above where I say I have sympathy for the mans family, but if people want to make him out to be something he is not I am entitled to offer a balancing opinion.

Really. Apple Further Restricts Upgrade Options on New iMacs | Other World Computing Blog

People who make a massive impact on the world and are visonaries are Nobel prize winniners, Martin Luther King, Ghandi, Nelson Mandella, Mikhail Gorbachev etc., these are people who have changed the world and whilst I have sympathy for anyone passing, I think the hype over the man Like Visionary, Amazing Human Being etc has been blown out of proportion.
-
Exacty, people need to get over the Hype that was Jobs.
-
So you obviously discount the contribution to the computer world Bill Gates has made, let's not forget Steve Jobs has done loads to stifle technolog development, multiple law suits like the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 so as not to encroach on Apples dominance, or the fact that Apple does not allow other OS's on their hardware or their OS's on other Hardware. And the fact that apple decided to lock out the use of non apple hard drives. No Apple/Jobs does not stifle innovation, unless the innovations compete with apples/Jobs bottomline. Please do not taint the word Visionary with this mans name, it's disrespectful to true visionaries.
-
Morally void Apple, considering he was Apple that would call into question his Morals. He was not a visionary as people claim, he was a bloke with questionable ethics who was good at designing eye candy. Lets not overhype his contribution to the world.
