  1. I had a total knee replacement and the morphine didn't work afterwards, I was in agony overnight as they could not give me anything as I had technically had morphine. Next morning I had some Tramadol and all was good in the world again.
  2. We keep staff user areas for 30 days and Students until the end of November the year they leave in case of exam queries.
  3. We changed to Surname-First 2 letters of first name - Year of Entry to avoid duplicates so Joe Bloggs would be bloggsjo18. If on the rare occurrence there was a duplicate it adds their middle initial or 3rd letter of first name.
  4. Seems back up for now.
  5. Yeah same here in Portsmouth. Can't even connect to the admin panel now.
  6. Are you all using Smart Notebook, be interesting as a side note.
  7. We have some although our Head does not like them. We bought 20 Smart Touch last September a mixture of 65 and 75 inch versions. He is unhappy with the size of the image compared to the old SmartBoard projector combo, so now we are looking at going back to that.
  8. If England get past the group stage, they will go out in the next round, won't reach the QF.
  9. We look at the potential risk to the people in the CCTV and make a determination from there. Example 1: Student caused damage to the computers while in class. No risk of the data of those not involved being used maliciously or prejudiced - Would show to parents. Example 2: Fight occurring between 2 pupils with bystanders on view. No risk of the data of those not involved being used maliciously or prejudiced Risk of the data of those involved scaled depending on the parents (most schools know what parents of problem children are like) gauged and a decision on if to show taken according to the risk.

We were thinking of going down the route of making USB read only using NetsupportDNA. Users can still use their own drives to transfer data from it to the network but will be unable to transfer data from the network to a USB device. This then does not stop photography etc from getting images from their camera.
  11. In regards to Bay house, how could you possible check for staff using duplicate passwords in 2 different systems, apart from asking them their passwords? Seems a bit harsh.
  12. +1 for NetSupport Notify.
  13. I recently upgraded my SCCM server to Server 2016 and SCCM to 1802 and my PXE boot no longer worked. I went through the normal procedure of resetting it by removing the PXE option on the distribution point etc. etc. The problem I have is that after rebooting the server WDS is reinstalled even though the PXE option is not on in the DP. Even if I remove WDS using the Add/Remove Rolls on reboot it's back and reinstalled. Due to this when ever I PXE boot I get an incorrect BCD error as it is looking in the folders installed by WDS in RemoteInstall instead of the ones generated by SCCM. No matter what I do WDS is always reinstalled. Any thoughts?
  14. +1 for roombooking system
  15. I am pretty sure they would be both a controller and processor, every organisation would be both. They process their own data as controllers and then process the data we send them as processors as we are the original data controllers.
  16. We use Pugh, but have also used Softcat previous.
  17. Thanks for the reply, but that only hides them, I would just really like to delete them, why does SIMS make it so hard to delete stuff
  18. I have a load of old custom groups in system manager, Ones that are empty and have no members showing I am able to delete, ones that show historical members I am unable to delete I just get the error 'this group has memberships'. Anyone able to point in the right direction on how to delete these groups? Thanks
  19. Thanks for your help
  20. Brill that worked a treat, thanks now just got to get the Production one working where it pulls all workstation except the ones in that OU
  21. This would be the top level collection to pull all workstation OS from a Test lab OU, then I would create a separate collection based on specific OS using the Top level collection as the limiting collection, it's for windows update.
  22. Hi I am trying to create a device collection for production clients and development clients based on OS and OU membership but can not really seem to get it to work. I am using the following syntax to build a collection of machines that have workstation os on them and are in our test computer OU: select SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceID,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceType,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Name,SMS_R_SYSTEM.SMSUniqueIdentifier, SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceDomainORWorkgroup,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Client from SMS_R_System where SMS_R_System.OperatingSystemNameandVersion like "%Microsoft Windows NT Workstation 6.1%" or SMS_R_System.OperatingSystemNameandVersion like "%Microsoft Windows NT Workstation 6.3%" or SMS_R_System.OperatingSystemNameandVersion like "%Microsoft Windows NT Workstation 10.0%" and SMS_R_System.SystemOUName like "STEDMUNDS.LOCAL/COMPUTERS OU/TEST LABS" This just seems to return all the workstatios not just the ones in the test OU. ( as a note I tried all flavors, equal to, not equal to etc.) Any ideas? Thanks
  23. Maplin have been going downhill ever since they stopped being an electronics hobbyist store. Now they just sell over priced tatt.
  24. What is the thread title, interested in a read , ahh don't worry found it
  25. What about school photos and how that affects the Right to be Forgotten? If we have trip photos posted on walls and someone exercises their RTBF, do we need to delete/edit all photos containing their image?
