If your asking the questions then I strongly recommend avoiding VPN. A VPN is a very dangerous thing unless you understand the security implications it can pose. The connecting clients will need to be secured and protected as good or better than your internal machines, they will need to be prevented from running anything but allowed applications, authentication needs to be to the domain and those user need to have a strong password policy... My Money Pit Mondeo had a Full Service History when I got it at 82K, It still had one after 92K and a bucket load of cash on faults. So looking after it made no difference. Same goes for my Jag, full service history, at least £7K spent between 18/5/05 and 23/10/14 ( the receipts I have ) . I did a full oil change with Magnatec and genuine filter 2K before the engine died ( bad luck ? ) Now the focus has a years MOT I will give it an oil change though.. At the very least the 1.8 Zetec is of use to me for my kit car so got to look after that. TT

Just checked my spreadsheet. The TDCI was officially the worst car £/Mile mechanically. It even beats everything else if I factored in the fuel saving!!! TT

I am never owning a Diesel again, they cost me more to keep on the road than I saved on fuel. I had a Mondeo 2.0 TDCI Ghia ... Nice car, but total money pit. ~1K on engine/fly related issues in 8 Months. I had a BMW E61 530D ... OK car, total money pit. again ~1200 in issues in 8 Months. Modern High pressure, high torque deisels just don't last. The only oil burner that I have had that was bullet proof was a 18 year old Passat 1.9TDI.. That refused to die! TT

Another arm of BT provided us with a service for 11months but forgot to charge us, we pointed this out and it took 3 goes for thm to then provide an invoice. Now on the same renewal we started talking to them 3 months ago and last week they said we paid back in January! But the licence on the hardware we find out at 16:40 today, runs out on the 14/4/16 !!! TT

Well my stop gap £300 Focus went for MOT Today .. Done a shade under 3K since buying her in october to stand in for the Jag whilst sorting it's engine. Spent a bit on it in in that time, ~£130 (hub,caliper,window winder,gasket, damaged tyre) ... And fitted an ST 170 interior for £90 . Left the wife to take it for MOT. Found it back outside the house when I got home... £40 for the MOT and £0 on repairs.. 13 Months to the next MOT If need be. TT

I had to do it on one of our servers after upping the raid, just booted into linux and ran gdisk. The conversion is instant. TT

We did a time laps of the demolition of our old building an new build. ( Back in 2008-2010 ) We had two MOBOTIX hi res CCTV cameras at opposite sides of the site. We had two old PC's running ubuntu and an FTP Service. Once camera uploaded to one server every 5 mins, other camera to the other server. We had a demonstration of Cylance last week. It does not use any definition database but even spots zero day ( real real ZERO! ) malware and blocks it with no perfomance impact. TT

So the clients for the subnet get 255.0.0.0, It will work, but it's horrid. And your delivered address ranges would have to be within the 255.255.240.0 scope for all the clients to reach the servers ( if they are within that subnet) ... I work with /24 (255.255.255.0) or less ... Any network that can support that model is under invested. TT

Sorry could you clarify? A subnet mask of 255.255.240.0 is not brilliant but not bad. But a mask of 10.0.0.0 if it even exists is insane. TT

Forti's can get expensive to maintain , as can all the upper tier vendors when you add on the feature licences. I have a number of Forttis and ASA's .. Prefer the latter but both do their job. But pFsense does do a nice job and has a lot of options... I used to run some using old WatchGuard hardware ( never liked WG's software ). I would say it's worth a couple of days experimentation. TT

2002 V8 4.0 S-Type.. I regretted selling the Previous 3.0 V6 S-Type so much that it's replacement ( A BMW E61 530D ) only lasted 8 months before I had to have a S-Type again. Even though it killed it's engine I still love it. Hence I can be botherd to fix rather than replace. TT

I inadvertently took down our entire network with Untangle. The VM's two "Bridged" Ethernet ports created an L2 routing loop. Took less than a minuet for the core switch to be crippled. I did not really like it then ~2008 and only looked at it once since. There was something about it that I found too unintuitive... Or they were trying to push subscriptions, can't remember. 1999-2011 We were on Squid + Squid Guard. OpenDNS is no longer free. pFsense uses Squid and DansGuardian. Did try it once but our Home Rolled scripts on plain linux did a better job. ClearOS was another good option.
