Do you have LTO-4 Drives? FW upgrade is no big deal on these, you need to do the library and the drive. Rob

Put one side of the 1st cab agains the wall and come out from there. that gives you front and back access, and you will have enough space for CAB3 when it comes allong. Rob

400M is pushing MultiMode, 400M at 10GB is realy Pushing MultiMode to its limit. Drop to 1GB FD, retest Drop to 100MB FD, retest. Rob

I would never buy another Terrastaion again without having it to demo for a few weeks.. Ours is flakey with AD, and NFS performance is terrible. Rob

in I.E. you need to add the Smoothwall to trusted sites. Probably the same in FireFox.

Have you tried with just blocking sites to confirm the IP matching is working. You may also want to try putting the REW above the pass any. It's 3 years now since I have used SG so very fuzzy.... I should have my old config somewhere.... Rob

If it was there, and you have not removed it then it's still a potential issue. And why is it there, who has put it there and will they do it again. Blocking the ports on the switch will not prevent it from handing out wi-fi DHCP if that becomes active again. Rob

Sounds like a ground loop as sugested. If you have a laptop PSU with a 2 pin rather than 3 pin lead then try that. Rob

Usualy. The raid card can be moved. The card may ask where you want to load the config ( from the adapter or from the on-disk config ) so long as the disks are kept on the same connections and in the same order then either should work. Rob

Done it many times with no issue. Long long ago on a Perc3 I had to reboot the server and run the rebuild via the controller but them days are gone. As I said, if you have space buy a hot spare. it stays redundant untill a failure happens and then becomes part of the array. This is especialy useful if you have more than one logical drive in a box of disks. Rob

Pull the drive, put it back in. See what happens. Also buy another drive and add it as a HOT spare if you can. Rob

To give you an idea.... For starters. We run Citrix VDI. 450 VDI's 3No SQL servers runnign 2 Main SQL Mirroed + One Witness SQl Server. (you could run one) 2No PVS Streaming servers ( they stream the actual os to the Virtual desktop ) (You could run one depending on the size of your environment.). 2No DDC ( or XDC ) Desktop delivery controlers 1No CSG 1No CAG 1No WI All but the PVS's are virtual machines.. PVS's Need to be physical for performance. These server 10no HP BL460g6 Blades. Each blade has twin hex core CPU's and 96GB of Ram. With the Hypervisor itself it hosts ~45 VDI's. We use HP T5740, T610, and 4320T Devices as well as MAC and Desktops using VDI. Rob

I though all the AT stuff come out of the factory broken had to pull a few of them in various places. Worst ever experience was an old "Planet" switch that used to be our core 12 years ago. That locked up regularly. Replaced it with a D-Link DES6000 Chassis which lasted 7-8 years in service. Rob
