Yesterday I sent out an email to everyone saying I now have a visualiser for every class that doesn't already have one (they are very well used here, and the pupils love showing off their work!) and for people to let me know when a good time to install it for them is. The first reply I get was this; Add that to the fact that the house I want to buy has come back on the market this morning & I'm smiling

Well it's started to happen to me with my girlfriend's voice range... 'selective hearing' she calls it I suppose "not hearing" it isn't what we mean, more like we stop noticing it as an intruding noise and are just used to hearing it, much like when you can hear cars going past your house while trying to go to sleep and after a while you don't 'notice' the doppler effect any more. For anyone missing out, treat yourself to this!

It's better than when I used to share my room with other people on PPA etc. I'd rather have constant humming than constant whinging! lol

After 5 years of working with 4-8 servers around me all the time I don't even notice the sound anymore - in fact when I go into other people's offices around the school I find it too quiet, sometimes catch myself humming for 'background noise' LOL!

I'm very tempted to make this my first MMO after seeing it in action at Eurogamer Expo last year and the 'letsplay' videos since then, together with it not having a monthly fee. It will mainly depend on who else I know if going to be playing, I know at least one person who will likely get it.

True that, I was playing LOZ:Wind Waker, when my OH put on LOZ:Skyward Sword later in the day I couldn't tell the difference!

I recently enjoyed playing The Wind Waker, Twilight Princess (GC version) and Starfox Adventures on my Wii, all with an original GameCube memory card and controller. Composite cable looked a little fuzzy on my 42" LCD but was still a fully enjoyable experience

I didnt know you got the Relentless Force from HH so I just ignored it and went about exploring. Never used quick travel, always on food and fighting/killing things with magic & axes as I went. I was wanted everywhere and kiling guards all the time, kept returning to peaks to take down dragons over & over again, I smithed like crazy and got the awesome armours & weapons really early on in the main storyline, found loads of the Daedric quests & items before going up HH too. I think of the 150-odd hours I played at least 100 of those was before going up HH the first time, that gives you some idea how much I went around levelling up!

Hahah yeah I blasted loads of goats with my fireball spell on my way up there - I even chased a few back down to get them! Mwhahahahahaha! (I played quite an evil guy, there were several small villages with no-body left living in them by the end. Hehehehe )

Sounds similar to what I encountered on my way up there... though I had been all over the map, explored like crazy and was level 25+ before I even first went up to HH I think!

I spent about 150 hours on Skyrim, and never used anything more than fire spell in one hand and an axe in the other. No stoneflesh or other types of magic to 'buff' me or disable enemies; just burn and hack, burn and hack, and it got me through the whole game with no worries - in fact I wish there had been harder parts, everything after level 30 just felt like I was walking it.

Best of luck with it, over the course of the building work here (a massive rebuild of over 50% of the school and adding more) it was initially the plan that the network would still need to be accessible. After weeks of meetings, some work beginning and cables starting to come out / power being shut off the SLT realised that it just wasn't feasible to have all-access all the time while the work was going on. We did the best we could but we ended up with areas of the school with no power / no network for weeks at a time, people had to move to another area of the school if they wanted to get online / check email / google etc. Get printers set up with USB cables if the area they are in will likely not have power to the switch they are connected to, try and make sure that the server room has power at "high capacity" times of the day, but really the best way to avoid problems is to pre-warm people that they might lose access, may have to move to another area in the building for certain tasks, etc.

Oddly, opening it in VLC Media Player starts to 'play' a blank screen with a time length of about 1hour45minutes, but no sound or image can be found and if you try to skip to any point on the timeline it just stops playing. I managed to get the WordPerfect Presentation to accept the file and try to convert it, but the most I got was a bunch of random code in varous letters, figures and sizes/fonts, nothing usable in the slightest. It must have been a very specific camera & software combo needed!

I tried and filed to get anything from the file All the research I did points towards a .drs file being a WordPerfect Driver Resource file, so no help there!

I use a SWF Player, there are plenty freeware ons out there if you Google for them.

Just the other day I passed a bunch of old recovery disks (which I no longer have the drive to read/wipe/reuse anyway) to the Site Agent here for destroying. She had a whale of a time with a hammer, drill and various other objects used to obliterate the disks!

It gets tougher, from what I'v seen so far the courses get longer (more chance of a fail) and when they start moving "left" and "right" (ie towards you and away from you, but still side-on view) it gets trickier to know exactly which part of the landscape you are actually aiming to land on/get over. I almost 100% the first game, and so the skills I picked up from playing it of course made the first parts of this new game feel easy as pie, getting gold on almost every track first time around (expcet for those that need the faster bikes you unlock later on) so in that respect it might feel easier as you are already familiar with the game mechanics.

JB doesn't *always* drink a Vodka Martini anyway. Look at the older films, he drinks whiskey, vodka, beer (in bottles, usually), wine, and champagne (Bollinger typically). Taken from wikianswers: The "Shaken not Stirred" is just a line, almost a stereotype of his character now. So who cares if he orders a pint for a change?

First reaction is that it's meant for a phone or PDA or something similar to be displayed on it.

I currently work as ICT/Network Manager and support around 1200 pupils and 150 staff, on a term-time only salary of £20k (before tax). So that works out around £14 per person per year for me to support them each year. I think that a lot of people on this forum (particularly other IT / Network Managers) earn a fair bit more than I currently do though, and probably have less pupils/staff as my school is very large for a primary! My budget is usually around the same as my salary, so I guess that makes it around £28 per person per year to keep IT going. It's not just about the numbers of heads though, you've also go to take into consideration the amount of equipment that IT person will be responsible for - you could have 1350 people to support but if the school only has 50 computers it would be a breeze to do it - if like me you have over 600 to take care of, it's a full-on rush to keep everyhing and everyone happy.
