If you are using meraki you can send a web link by setting up a profile with a WebClip to the url it will then appear on each iPad as an icon. You can use configurator to do this as well. Unfortunately there is no way to organise the apps other than restoring a backup which is a pain.

Just be aware any cloud based browser will render the website the student is visiting before displaying it on the ipad and so may bypass any web filtering you have at school.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to force the teachers imac to allow higher resolutions on an external display/projector. Currently it only allows 800x600 but the projector can cope with far higher. Looking at the web there appears to to be third part software out there but that also appears not to work with Lion and I'm guessing all they do is change some settings hidden under the bonnet.

also the teacher will need teacher access otherwise they are treated as a pupil in the room

if you want to add all the users from a group you can add that group to a group (not recomended that you have multiple nested groups) or a room. If you want just some of them you might consider adding them different ways depending on the numbers. If you give a bit more details that would help.

and now for something completely different .....Psykopaint - Create and paint amazing art from photos

Fronter can be slow but probably best raise this at support.fronter.com as you can get there techs to answer

I don't know if this will work but if Fronter is referring to a different database for the password changing the username to the same as on sims and then using "ldap1:" as the password seems to work for me.

The reason for the delay is to do with browsers caching y10 version causing issue when fronter then changes to y11. Nothing ctrl-f5 could fix but probably best to get it right first time

We started off by using these guys Serious Magic Ultra2 | Serious Magic Ultra 2 as a pc solution with green plastic sheet and have progressed onto this Reflecmedia Lighting & Chromakey including the Reflecmedia Wideshot All in One Studio Bundle (Educational), the Wideshot All in One Studio Bundle and UltimatteDV Hardware Keyer (Educational) using imovie on a mac which works really nicely. It all depends on budget if you have a large pot of money I would look at this Newtek Live Video Production including the Newtek TriCaster 450 EXTREME (Educational), the TriCaster 450 (Educational) and the TriCaster 450 EXTREME

Just to throw a spanner in the works Apple apps licencing can be very confusing. A change was made some time ago that requires multiple licences to be bought when using apps within education but this type of licence is only currently available in the states Apple - iTunes - App Store Volume Purchase Program. Reading the apple terms and conditions iTUNES STORE - TERMS AND CONDITIONS it would appear you can put them on 10 devices per account but other sites say upto 5 and this https://support.assistiveware.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=50 say that you need an account per device which is unworkable. Practically there is no limit enforcement but I would get agreement from your management regarding any risk of licence infringement should you be asked to add more than 10 device to a single itunes account.

ipodtouch_v1a.pdfthis pdf shows the apps that we have been using with primary schools. By using folders we have managed to get them on just two pages. The best tip I can give is to setup one exactly how you want it then back it up and then copy the backup to your other device and then change the name. Also you can lock quite a few things in the settings. I'm happy to answer any question (if I can) either pm me or post
