We run Win 10 Pro and Edu, version 1703; did SIMS summer update and moved to Sophos Central and Int. X in the Summer. Can't recall which order we did most PCs, but def loaded further SIMS PC since with Int X already running with no sign of a problem.

I can believe that. It's pretty straightforward. We did 40 APs and 5 switches without consultants. We also have a 200mtr AP bridge to another building giving close to 40 Mbps LOS connection

Biggest gotcha is the price of ongoing licences. I think you get a year with freebie. They are good though.

@speckytecky. Are you updating direct to MS or through WSUS? What bsecurity measures do you have in place? Proxy; on PC Firewall; Other web sucurity?

We switched to 64 bit as we went to W10 last summer. Not identified any problems specific to that with SIMS. But we had to go back to 32 bit for finance staff as Sage 200 2016 did NOT work with 64 bit.

Sam, We are 99% on 1607 release, in fact hardly ran any on 1511, and we see it all the time. Think Imp have a new release but nothing in the notes mentions a fix for this problem. We are also on an oldish version of Imp.

Again, slightly off topic, when I last looked around thinking we could use Clevertouch (or other) in a new building as few of the teachers that moved over had much investment in Smart Documents. At Bett, several suppliers said " Yeh, we can open Smart", but it seemed to always mean exporting individually as a common IWB format, then opening on other suppliers software, then Saving As. Pain! We stuck with Smart, but not the then very expensive E70, I think it was. You're going for LED/LCD new Smart boards? I have made inquiry of my supplier who does CT and Smart installs. Will let you know if he's interested. I find the new type Smart very good as they don't need Aligning very often if at all. Just clean the dust off reflectors and LEDs regularly. Downside is you still have a projector with each, so not so green.

The SMT have never liked the size of it as our classrooms are not that big. We now have Yoga laptops in smaller desktop cabinets and wish to get rid of the LapCabby. I keep thinking I should move over to Deploying printers from new 2012 print server management. Currently we us script with: 'rem **Setup printers for all users** \\myserver\netlogon\con2prt.exe /f IF %Location% == scicdt \\myserver\netlogon\CON2PRT.exe /CD \\myserver\kirklandpupils IF %Location% == scicdt \\myserver\netlogon\CON2PRT.exe /C \\myserver\ICTColour' And with PC Environment variable 'Location' inserted with area of school where normally used, so we have scripts for Teachers and one for pupils and it sets the Default printer for location. I have deployed a couple of printers from new 2012 PS that aren't anyone's default but can't see how to achieve what we're used to just with OUs that PC or user is in??? Would welcome any ideas.

We use iPads, Trolley, Meraki MDM & Conflagurator, and for copying files, FileBrowser. It seems with MDM, at least with Meraki, that you have no control of layout of Home Screens, or adding Apps to specific folders. With Conflagurator you can, but only if you backup and restore from one to all iPads. If we buy/get one App, or in this case just want to create a link to Purple Mash on Home screen, the backup restore process and losing all pupil data on restored iPads seems a poor way to go. I am having to paste, from FileBrowser Word Document saved on Win Server the address into Safari, save that to Home screen then press and hold to get to one of the several pages or folders. Very inefficient, has anyone worked out a better way?

I believe The Clangers are overjoyed at having some new scrap for their cave doors. The old dustbin lids made too much noise.

We used to have unlimited but have had teachers set to 6 GB since finding 5-6 with over that. Worked with them to remove personal pictures, resources etc. Most others are 100Mb to 4GB, so we have enough space. Also, we are not very good at getting them to put photos/video in a sensible place.

Am getting recent Test Mesage and invoice Spams too. Think my Sophos Pure Message is not set up ideally to block them. Does anyone have any exported sample Blocked Phrase files for Strings and regular expressions? Please

We've had this too. I assume from the similarity in MO that its from same source as last week's "Westlothian" Scam e-mails. Blacklisted it. It looks so genuine that Sophos PureMassage not identifying it as Spam
