Restarting now, must have been 9.3 that I installed, it was the latest download from codeplex. It must be the connection to the ldap server, ebcause when I went into setup, and double checked the admin logon for the domain, it tried to reconnect and couldnt. Thanks

Just upgraded to 9.2 - now no one can logon, an error did come up saying LDAP wasnt working, I can still load the logon screen, and the setup page - but cant login. Any ideas? Only error message I can now get it to do is incorrect logon details, and then it blocks me for bloomin half an hour.

Yes, I change usernames, but not the folder names. They don't really see them, other then in My Computer.

I did this with WordPress, had wordpress internally hosted - and it used LDAP to let them login with AD - they would post news into categories, and each year group / staff would have their cat as their homepage. They could also live filter their stream to cut out any posts they didnt want. Ive left now, and they didnt replace me with someone who knew wordpress - last I heard they had given up on it, which was a shame.

I was wary about it, but the only issues I've had is when people with large user areas (over 10gb) try to sync, you need to up the amount of local storage allocated which is easy. I have locked mine down quite a bit, but no real issues, no. I actually wasn't sure how to work it otherwise, I have given some local storage.

Don't forget to sort out policies for document syncing as well.

I have a GPO which points users to a share for it, don't copy anything.

We use option 1 based on experience of slow logins, it works well, icons don't disappear, so staff know what is where as well.
