  1. SMART demo'd a new plugin they have, which allows iPads and any internet enabled device (so tablets, phones etc) to interact with a SMART Notebook. Works well obviously on an IW, but can also work without one. I was impressed by that - we already have all the kit as well.
  2. How can I look through to remove that? Is it in an XML file somewhere?

  4. Web based is fine...
  5. It does, but it isn't that intuitive.
  6. SIMs, and not one that seems to be that useful tbh.
  7. SMT have decided they want a ticketing system for logging phone calls from parents - reception takes the call, logs it and assigns it to a staff member, who can then update it when they have resolved the matter. All searchable and managed by staff/SMT to keep a log off. Anyone know any software that can do that? Cheers
  8. Ha! Only on second, sat in bar as it appears the wifi in the premier inn in Greenwich is shite.
  9. spent the day there, back tomorrow. In hotel with a beer now. I didn't even get near efugeek stand!!
  10. Hi guys Is it possible to take a look at previous weeks bookings in HAP booking system? Or even to print off some kind of reports? Thanks Matt
  11. I have exactly the same issue, no help anywhere either. Now refuse to buy license wit it, can't understand the need.
  12. We have a biometric registration system, a unit in every classroom, syncs with SIMS but also has a web interface. The system is plugged into the fire alarm, as soon as the bell is triggered it prints of the report to a specific printer in the backup server room, the printer is used for nothing else by no one else... If that fails, can be printed manually, and all admin staff are trained in how to do that.
  13. Mobile technology (tablets and new hybrid laptops) · Content for mobile technology (IE apps/Podcasts/Kindle type software for reading) · Cloud based educational software (So students can carry on learning at home using same resources) · Multi use computer desks (For expanding the ICT in classrooms without loosing teaching space) · Laptops for students schemes · Internet filtering software · Internet service providers · SIMS access for parents · Call logging software with SIMs integration · Alternative MIS solutions · SEN Software/Hardware for any developments in a new Learning Support Room · Developing ICT in the Library.
  14. I did this too, was quite fun..
  15. Am I being dumb,? Never heard of CRL? Installed SP2 successfully, and did some 114 wu whilst I was at it.
  16. Update roll ups - righto. Where do I get these, and can I just install the latest one?
  17. I assume not, as Im not aware of what they are?!
  18. Thanks all. RE backing up schematic, is that just the same as exporting it?
  19. Will do, got VEEAM so that's easy to do!
  20. Any hints/tips on upgrading from SP1 to SP2?
  21. Hi all When I rebuilt the network in the summer, I installed SIMS using a script from our LEA, who informed me there was a very easy way to set permissions on the local SIMs folders (on the C Drives) so that updates to SIMs would work. Since then, they have failed to give me an easy way to set these permissions in bulk. So my question is - I have SIMs installed. I currently have no access rights for staff on the local folder - and staff are not, and cannot be local admins. What do I need to do to get them to be able to install the SIMs Autumn update without me having to go to every PC and set local rights on the folder(s) (these are Windows 7 64x installs - there is a folder in both program files folders, any ideas which I need to set permissions on?) - they are all part of a STAFF security group. We are running Server 2008 R2 TIA Matt
  22. that's what TfL said, but they usually over estimate it.
