Okay - so in our IT room we have 2 TVs replicating the teachers machine - teacher puts up a powerpoint - then wants to actually use her PC for more then displaying the ppt during the lesson. How do your staff do this?

I dont understand how they can leave out that and still advertise to schools.

Got a bent 55" touch screen - it's okay but staff miss the freeze functionality of all things, and I think it's too small...

I actually did this during the summer. I started here, realised what I had been left with was rubbish and started again. Admittidly I have had a stupid amount of money thrown at me for a middle school... but I went with this: Vanilla 2008R2 AD Network - on a brand new failover hyperv cluster - with 2 identical hosts connected to a SAN by iSCSI Image deployment = fog email = exchange 2010 (still cant beat it IMO) Office 2010 Windows 7 64x Only Papercut for print management Redirected folders inc start menu and desktops for all staff, but roaming app data folder for all. Biometric registration through Live Register which feeds straight into SIMs Backup: VEEAM to a decent NAS and 2 x NAS doing file only nightly backups. AV- Sophos because it works and is free. I did not move over any student work (But it is available should I need too - middle schools are lucky in that none of it is course work) Remote access from home and booking system is via HAP+

My Lumia 800 is the best I have ever had. I prefer it over the wifes iPhone 4S easily. The iPhone 5 is a nice design for a phone but not worth the price difference. I've always said - I love iOS on my iPad - but on my phone I just want to have the odd social app on there, make it very easy to send and receive emails and texts and calls. And the lumia and windows phone does that very well, with some nice quirky features and designs...

Is it possible on impero to broadcast sound as well as pictures? Or when the console user remotes into a PC, can that transfer the sound at all? Ta

We have a calendar account on exchange 2010. 8.1 allows you to map a calendar tile to an account, see the docs included

I just figured on an internal system, with no myfiles linked into it/booking system etc? I get it on the live external system being an issue. Never mind tho ... ! Ive been looking at exchange 2010 web parts to see if I can achieve something similar.

Good point. Still got to investigate why it is not working on some machines... Any ideas of the cookie for login? Could we just set it not to expire?

I have got that working on my test PC, struggling elsewhere tbh. Also because the school calendar is staff only, its not easy to define whose computer may be a teachers and whose isnt. Such a shame tbh... Is there anything we could do to get it to remember people once they have logged in?

Same as before it appears. error 500 on loading scripts, lots of Internal error pop ups as it tries to load tile elements. I have a local DNS entry for the external SSL address - when I enter it that way I get a pop up asking for details (then same errors) If I go via the local address, obviously I get an SSL error and then I get the pop ups, but it does log me in automatically. Simple solution to that I guess - install HAP Internal on another server - but don't want to do that until I can sort the erro 500 codes - However if I did - would it then be difficult/impossible to point the booking system live tile to check the booking system on the other instance?

Installed and working really well thanks Nick - loving the whole school calendar tile thanks for including that in the release Staff have already commented on how useful it is.... Dunno if you like to see how your system is being used - but have attached a screenshot Still gutted there is no way to have these tiles set up on a version of HAP that will autologin - the amount of info they get at a glance is just ideal for their internet start page. If there is anyone who could amend this, I would be willing to pay? I don't need them to access anything other then the homepage - I dont care that they have to log in for room booking, because that is a good layer of security... I just want it to auto log them in, or ask once and remember so that they can get their live tiles?

Everyone has full control on the intakeXX folder - That figures though, as they can see the root of the intake xx folder - its the permissions on the indervidual users folders they dont have (which is just listing the student and administrator and not inheriting any permissions) Im not sure I want to inherit the permissions on userdrives do I?

With Gravity forms - you can set up login to the page via wordpress and then install a plugin to setup LDAP login - so same username and password to login as network. A hidden form element can grab the current logged persons username and email address. I set it so every form displayed the logged in users details, and included these in an email sent to the form submitter and the form receiver (it would construct the email from the current logged in persons username - so even if they impersonated another user - that user would get an email and could question it - but you would have bigger issues if they knew someone elses username and password!) End result is login to an internal website via AD details -> Fill in form which pre populates some data from logged in user, emails off to submitter and receiver and stores in the gravity forms database which has a web front end and youc an export to CSV if required.

Afraid not - as I don't currently work at that school anymore. However it is only $40 I think (gravity forms, WP is free and can be installed via WAMP etc)? It did everything for us - it is really easy to build custom forms.

I meant the windows 7 GPO policies. You have them as you have Server 2008R2.

Def. an option to sort this in Gpo - have you got the win 7 Gpo objects installed? I can look on Monday, but ours are set to never hibernate - just turn off the screens after 10 minutes.
