Sirbendy: I did think that it was an InnoDB issue; but thought it wouldn't have imported the .sql file (which specifies the tables should be InnoDB) in the first place if it wasn't there. I guess it just defaulted to MyISAM gumbygaz: Thanks. Hopefully the existing code is easy enough to make sense of so you can add your feature. plexer: I'll look at that too. This is where SNMP would be very useful! Shame it's such an awful protocol to work with at the developer level

Same here. I have a copy of the installer for you to download - sent you a PM

it-hell: Wait until you hear that with sound! The narrator's comment could be interpreted as being a bit insulting -
I think this is what you need: Java SE Downloads - Sun Developer Network (SDN) (left icon - Java Platform (JDK))

Looks alright. I'm off to see Devil tomorrow but will try to make time for this as well in the next few weeks

I think ugliness is a matter of personal opinion. Our students (aged 11+; and staff for that matter) have little to no difficulty in using the Zimbra web interface. Embedding a complete separate application into Moodle will probably be even more confusing for them if they can't figure out how to use what they already have.

Number of Computers, versus Number of Images
webman replied to AnnDroyd's topic in Network and Classroom Management
RM CC3 at the moment (soon CC4), so no images needed. -
Any chance you can swap the Fn and Ctrl keys round to where they should be?

RM CC3 on HP 6000/Smartclient
webman replied to profit10's topic in Network and Classroom Management
Not that I know of. Have you tried installing new Hardware Support Packs, available from RM? They may include appropriate SATA drivers for the XP build and allow you to build as normal. -

Have you tried disabling RAID in the BIOS or enable IDE mode for the SATA channels? -
SmaraitanCollege: The error seems to lead to a non-configured timezone in your php.ini file. Edit your php.ini and check the "date.timezone" line. Set it to: date.timezone = "Europe/London" Make sure there isn't a semicolon before it. Your php.ini file could be in one of several places - c:\windows\php.ini or c:\php\php.ini are the most likely places though.

[sims] Restoring SIMS after complete Disaster recovery to new hardware?
webman replied to reggiep's topic in MIS Systems
What happens if you connect it to a lone hub/switch, so it's IP address is at least active? AS teejay said - it could just be an issue of not being able to connect to itself. -
Ubertech, based in Lancaster, is a reseller of Meraki kit. They've blogged about some of the features - Meraki

I got this at the end of last week. Only thing I noticed was that the apps I had moved to the SD card had disappeared - just had to re-install them from the market. All personal data was still there though

Combined with what SYNACK suggested - one way to link usernames to named folders would be a hidden file in the folder which contains the actual username. To any script, this would just mean "This folder belongs to 07BondJ".
-
Yes - you'd need to instruct users to browse to it first, or by giving them a nice shortcut. You can't save directly to it from applications due to "security reasons"
-
SimpleSi: My idea is just a placebo - give the illusion that it's secure; but essentially just opening a folder (which already has appropriate file permissions applied). So it will act like a regular folder - open, save, modify, delete, drag-and-drop as normal Mattx's little script is a great solution - just launch "explorer.exe \\server\uncpath\goes\here" at the end.

We buy all of our workstations from them - the value and service is fantastic. We've been using them under their previous names for over 5 years too - remained loyal to them despite others slagging them off, and it's paid off. Lower-cost workstations and better service than we've had from other suppliers.

An empty school during the holidays would be an ideal setting for one of these games

It will unfortunately be a complete new install. So much has changed with the framework and with the new features, it will be a bit awkward to either a) just upgrade v1 or b) have an export/import routine.

Easy; just don't sell at anything below £4k of the asking price

This should work: var file = "00715...~1.xls"; var betterfile = file.substring(0, file.lastIndexOf('~')); Read here for more information: JavaScript - Strings
