Can we not buy extra water off the internet these days? This is the 21st century!! -
For the past 7 years, we've always used the specific model PCL5e HP drivers for all our printers and never had any problems.
-
Can you not just stick the tracking code into the template?

Full every friday (as it never finishes before 9am the next day); and incrementals during the week. All to a remote NAS. (Using scripted NTBackup)

What about a shortcut on the desktop that launches a folder? This folder would then contain shortcuts to all those frequently used apps.
-
Easiest way to stop them moving desktop icons is not to give them desktop icons at all.

I don't see why this is such a huge problem. Just run the EXEs silently. It's worked for us perfectly for the past five years.
-
Yeah it does cause a few problems. That's water under the bridge for some people though.

I gave up learning to play the guitar; just too many strings attached.

If you have others of the same model, I would suggest buying the electronics board and replace yourself. That way, you've spent the minimum to find out what the problem is. If it turns out that is not the problem, you have a spare electronics if it happens to another IWB. If it is the problem, you've just fixed an IWB at the cheapest cost.

It could be detected as eth1. Do dmesg | grep eth to find out. If it has, just edit /etc/network/interfaces and change eth0 to eth1.

Schools who have a bad teacher are extremely likely to give a glowing reference to get rid of them. If they give an honest reference for a bad teacher - who will employ them?
-
Definitely 2nd one
-
You could market them along those lines couldn't you. "Don't be like James..." and "Forget Armani. Buy Geek. Be chic."

What about EduGeek sunglasses?
-
Don't you mean a junk-foody?
-
The current EduGeek shirts are a bit like the old Ford Model T. You can have it in any colour and style you like, as long it's black and short-sleeved +1 fro the tie idea though.

PiqueABoo: I don't apply it to all teachers at all, but the unions (and some teachers). They fought for more pay, and got it. They fought for less teaching time, and got it. They fought for the dropping of "admin tasks" and they got that too. So now schools are faced with teachers who cost more, teach less, and do very few "admin" duties. Students still have to be taught and admin duties still need to be carried out - so naturally this then falls to everyone else (who don't have the luxury of über-strong unions, or decent/fair pay & conditions, or the amount of holiday time...) The education system is so unbalanced that this behaviour from schools is extremely likely and, it seems, popular.
-
Teachers and their unions have priced themselves out of jobs and work, with silly salaries and "non-contact time". It seems schools can no longer afford as many of them as they need to fill the timetable, so have to resort to other means. Cover supervisors, TAs, caretakers......

Hehe. I wonder how many Apple fanboys will actually believe that fairytale story about the bars formulae.

I see a pattern emerging here...

Do you keep spare switches or replace on a rolling programme?
webman replied to kennysarmy's topic in Wireless Networks
We don't have as many switches, but have two spare - one fibre and one RJ45. This allows us to suffer a core switch failure as well as one switch in "satellite" cabs. If your switches have a proven track record of reliability you can probably get away with just one, but just make sure that as soon as you need to use the spare one you get another one in or the broken one repaired ASAP. If you have sufficient budget though, it won't hurt to have another 1-2 "just in case".
