  1. Bishop Barrington School - Welcome but due for a refresh in the coming months.
  2. The server is sending PHP files as text documents - i.e. it doesn't know that they should be processed via the PHP interpreter. At this stage, it has nothing to do with MySQL (even though it may or may not be working). It sounds like upgrading PHP didn't work fully, or at all. Have a look at and use one of these instructions to try and get it working again: How To Install PHP on IIS 6.0 » IIS Admin Blog Using FastCGI to Host PHP Applications on IIS 6.0 : Host Applications on the Microsoft Web Platform : Running PHP Applications on IIS : The Official Microsoft IIS Site Side note: due to the error, your passwords are exposed. Optionally change the webroot to somewhere safe, so that Joomla/Moodle aren't made available until fixed; but change your MySQL passwords for the Joomla/Moodle users.
  3. I'm guessing waitaha is the hostname?
  4. On the flip side, if you only had film, you would be financially motivated to get very good very quickly!
  5. One show I enjoyed which was canned after only one season, was Jericho. Fans complained and kicked up a fuss, so a second season was commissioned. Unfortunately, they made a half-baked attempt at it, the ratings took a nose-dive and it was then cancelled half-way through with a poor ending. Shame. But as localzuk mentioned, shows do come and go and there is usually something good to watch. If not, it's hopefully just around the corner
  6. I use CodeIgniter and Flourish. I recently discovered kirby which looks good for small stuff. CodeIgniter is MVC-oriented with a nice Active Record database library, and lots of other useful libraries included, with some great documentation. Flourish is more of an "un-framework" (as described by its author) but is still a great collection of classes for accomplishing common tasks. The "best" framework will be the one you are most comfortable with for use on the project you're working on; I don't think there's a single one that is a one-size-fits-all. As for code editor/environment, I like plain old text editors that don't get in the way; preferably with an integrated file browser on the left. I've used and liked PSPad and Notepad++ in the past, and currently using Intype.

    JQuery Help

    These should give you some idea: .ajaxStart() – jQuery API .ajaxComplete() – jQuery API
  9. Hopefully, software restriction policies to prevent the running and installation of foreign executables and software
  10. These sorts of random brute-force attacks are fairly common on the internet: usually a program iterates over a set of IP addresses and common service ports, identifies any that are open as a potential method of gaining entry, and will then try many password combinations until they give up, fail, or are blocked. The most simple way to reduce these attacks is to move the FTP server on to a non-standard port, (e.g. 2100, 2121 or something).
  11. Regular shoes from Clarks. Never once dropped anything on my feet *touch wood!*
  12. My bag is mainly a camera bag, so it has a camera + lens; but also pockets of "stuff", which contain: USB cables Network cable Insulating tape Cable ties Pens Pencils Post-It notes Multi-tool USB flash drive Memory card reader Highlighter
  13. Hide all the others first, before opening the one you want to show. Something like this... $("div.text-container div").hide(); $($(this).attr('href')).toggle(100); Have you considered using jQuery UI's Accordion widget instead though?
  14. There's a huge difference between choosing to share your location when you want to with the people and services you want to; and the manufacturer of your device recording your location anyway and storing it insecurely.
  15. I love that duck one Gatt Talking of ducks... How do you turn a duck into a soul singer? Put it into a microwave until it’s bill withers.
  16. An old friend of mine was a Soldier - he survived pepper spray and mustard gas. Now he is a seasoned veteran.
  17. The problem, I think, is finding teachers competent enough in "real computing" to able to teach it.
  18. If you still don't see a problem with this, consider these points: You are suspected in a crime, the police demand and seize your phone. They can legally demand that you had over the key to any encrypted information that you have, under threat of imprisonment, so you can bet your life they can demand this information in the name of evidence. You make a claim on your insurance, but they think you may have been going too fast. They demand this file as proof of your location and time stamp (which can be used to factor velocity and trajectory) and refuse to pay out on the insurance without it. You are undergoing divorce proceedings, accused of extra curricular activities. The opposing lawyer requests to submit this log into evidence of your whereabouts. Lets say you’ve been to an ‘adult’ store, it bears no relevance in this case, but you can be sure it would be used to bring your credibility into question. You lose your rucksack, it has your phone, your wallet and your house keys in it. If you’re unlucky enough not to have any security on your phone then the person who has your house keys and work’s keyswipe card now also has a log that shows two clear clusters of activity around your workplace and home, they know where they keys are for and where they keypass works. Fancy spending a few hours explaining to your boss why they just had 4 laptops stolen and yours is the only keycard used to access the building that night? Read more from the blog post I know what you did last summer (iPhone GPS Tracking).
  19. All model files are in the inc/classes folder. The one for consumables is Consumables.php. You would then call that function anywhere you need to know the status of a consumable - e.g. on the home page for the list, and in the consumable listing page.
  20. Remove the second line for URL_ROOT, and replace it with the one I included in my previous post. You should then have two lines that look like this: define('DOC_ROOT', realpath(dirname(__FILE__) . '/../')); define('URL_ROOT', '/printmaster/');
  21. Cold you copy and paste those two define() lines into here?
  22. ticker: Try changing inc/config.php, line 12, to look like this: define('URL_ROOT', '/printmaster/');
  23. I think you're close! I'd be tempted to create a function for this similar to getQtyStatus() in the consumable model file (or replace that one). The function can return an array of ok/low/critical + the colour based on a) the actual quantity of the consumable, and b) the re-order level for that consumable. A sensible place for this would be in the consumable model file. This way, you can call the function on an instance of it, and it will already have access to the data needed. So, for example. A consumable with a qty of 6 and a reorder level of 3: $this_status = $c->get_status(); You would then have the info you need in an array like this: Array('ok', '73D216'). $status[0] is the status name, $status[1] is the colour. The function could look like some of your code above: function get_status(){ $qty = $this->getQty(); $reorder = $this->getReOrder(); if ($qty > $reorder) { return array('ok', '73D216'); } if ($qty <= $reorder && $qty > 0) { return array('low', 'EDD400'); } if ($qty == 0) { return array('critical', 'CC0000'); } } } Or something like that anyway. Just a few ideas...
  24. Extreme Ironing - Motorway Edition! Watch the video contained on the linked news article below. Can't quite make out a face of the individual, but I have my suspicions M1 Extreme Ironing - Yahoo! News UK
  25. The numeric value in the $status array is the quantity of a consumable that must be reached for that level (ok/critical/low). To customise these per consumable, the table will need to be altered to accept these values, which will be entered on the add/edit consumable form.
