Hi Steve, The problem happens whichever machine the pen drive is plugged in to. Maths Plans 2011.zip I have had to ZIP one of the files (this file used to be a folder) because there was an error when trying to attach the file directly.

He said they are folders with a number of files in each.

A member of staff has brought a pen drive to me which has a strange problem. They had a load of folders in the top level which have now changed to a file type of 'File' - the folder is not accessible, and when clicked the 'Open With' window appears. Is there a way of reverting these back to actual folders containing files. Thanks

There are two my.ini files - one in \mysql\ and one in \mysql\bin Both only have #skip-innodb - there is no sign of #skip-bdb or #skip-federated in either file. The mysql_upgrade.exe is in \mysql\bin - running this from the folder just runs through. Running it from cmd give the following error: Looking for 'mysql.exe' in: d:\server\mysql\bin\mysql.exe Looking for 'mysqlcheck.exe' in: d:\server\mysql\bin\mysqlcheck.exe Running 'mysqlcheck'... d:\server\mysql\bin\mysqlcheck.exe: Got error: 2003: Can't connect to MySQL serv er on 'localhost' (10061) when trying to connect FATAL ERROR: Upgrade failed

Webman I have followed the second guide through right to the end and all the php coding that was appearing on the Moodle is now replaced by: Error: Database connection failed. It is possible that the database is overloaded or otherwise not running properly. The site administrator should also check that the database details have been correctly specified in config.php I still can't get into the MySQL? The website still has all of the code on still http://www.layton.blackpool.sch.uk http://www.layton.blackpool.sch.uk/moodle

It's set up on Windows Small Business Server 2003. Convinced it's something to do with MYSQL tables or PHP. If you go to the website you will also see what I mean. http://www.layton.blackpool.sch.uk http://www.layton.blackpool.sch.uk/moodle
