Haha, you got me there!

Ah, cable. A technology that's only available to around half of the homes in the UK For those unfortunate enough to live outside of a city centre we have to put up with a pair of copper wire installed and maintained by BT.

JSON in ASP.NET Ajax: Part 2. Calling a remote JSON Web Service from client script

That data looks like JSON. Is this any good?

Anyone else seen this film yet? If it sounds like your sort of thing - don't miss it! Brutal and gritty imagery backed by a good story, with some undertones of The Wicker Man, it'll leave you thinking WT...?? Screenings are limited but the director has a list on his blog - mrandmrswheatley: BOOM! Kill List screens.

Community engagement plays a key factor in many open source projects, and CRBS is no exception. So there

Yes, that will be possible

A recommended method is to use ini files stored outside of the webroot, and use PHP methods to parse the ini files. The reason why this is different than including PHP files outside of the webroot, is that PHP files are included and processed as PHP files. If the config file contained a syntax error, you could still run the risk of exposing the contents. Like what happened to Tumblr a while ago. (See here and here). As always, there is never one hard and fast rule, and environments do differ quite a lot

No pressure then

If you implemented my LoginTracker system, you could modify that to email you when a certain user logs in. That is a planned feature for the future of LoginTracker, but should be easy enough to add on yourself with a bit of PHP knowledge.

I'm working on it a lot right now. 3-6 months. Hopefully (There's still a lot to do).

No problem

The example you posted is using JSONP as the data format, which is only needed if the destination/datasource is on a different server; and your data isn't formatted as JSONP. You're probably wanting to use the plain 'Remote datasource' version that uses plain JSON. I can't explain the difference very well but this page can: JSON to JSONP: Bypass Same-Origin Policy - CodeProject

Good. I don't know. This could be Microsoft thinking "Hey, no one uses Feature X. Let's make it more in their face so they have to use it." But I think the key is identifying why users haven't used that. Is it because it's not usable? Because there are already quicker/better ways of doing it that users prefer? Without further information, you can interpret that chart either way

I don't think trying to have one interface that caters for both traditional navigation and tablet use at the same time is a winning solution. It's either tablet or desktop - both are very different interfaces.

So in a world of widescreen displays, Microsoft have added more vertical clutter to Windows Explorer, to cater for about 10% of users? Well done.

I watched that last night and enjoyed it as well. I like Bill Nighy. And Rachel Weisz did not look as old as she actually is!
