  1. @Norphy: CC4 networks can and do use SCCM to roll out endpoint protection did you know? Obviously not! Well aren't you the most informed person in the room today hehe!
  2. Server 2008 until Spring 2016 SQL 2008 until Spring 2015 According to my latest road map from Capita I will be updating next February to Server 2012R2 and SQL 2014 which will be good for at least another 2 years hopefully I have a PDF from Capita if you would like to PM me with an e-mail address
  3. Ooh! your really hard to please @FN-GM It really is IE11! But I had you going for a minute PDF reader plugin is not embedded within the page it seems thats all
  4. Hows this? Does this qualify? hehe!
  5. @bazgee: Well done, good job, when Ofsted came in to see us recently we got an outstanding for our website, they commented on its simplicity and that information was very easy to find with just 2 clicks for anything. Welcome to Bishop Barrington School. Bishop Auckland in County Durham.
  6. @bazgee: I don't have any problems with it using IE11 @FN-GM (Should have gone to specsavers hehe!)
  7. @vikpaw: Same old same old here! Software suite has SIMS and SIMS.NET in the dropdown menu plus the menu below is populated with all the usual No change
  8. White wine vinger 2 x tablespoons Good virgin olive oil x 5 tablespoons Mustard English or French (Dijon) x 1 teasponful Whisk vigorously until all emulsified and then pour over salad, mix the salad from the bottom to the top and then serve, I have found this to accompany many salads and it tastes heavenly, This is my own recipe and others might not find it to their taste............................tough!
  9. Hmm! must be a catch somewhere along the line me thinks? You don't get "out for nowt" nowadays! Am I just being too realistic here?
  10. Got mine and working to a certain degree if not a little slow
  11. It now comes as a "Cloud" based app which they manage offsite: PSF CLOUD - Cloud Accounting Software by PS Financials We used the software for the past 6 years and it just worked. Personally I would move to the cloud services
  12. @synaesthesia: Are we talking VMware here? or Hyper-V? Windows Server 2012?
  13. @Linfit: Thanks! My bad eyesight again hehe! @useraaron321 what @Linfit say's will give these staff the access rights to be able to read and edit. Rule of thumb regarding Sims which has always served me well is to give end users the least access rights required to do their tasks and no more, as the old saying goes " Too many cooks spoil the broth"
  14. @jaf: I have never used Chrome on the network as I have always found IE relevant to our schools needs but I do know that Chrome utilises IE settings so this could be a factor behind it. Have you not upgraded to IE11 yet? it works remarkably well with most sites and only the few have to be added to the compatibility view in IE to work, not had any problems here with it so far even with youtube videos as some have, I would think that it could be possible that the users profiles are not working correctly with Chrome and that is why you are constantly having to reset them, Good luck
  15. @useraaron321: They require adding to the following group: administration assistant You can download the SimsPerm latest from the Capita website or I could attach it to an e-mail if you reply or PM me with your details
  16. :Galawezh: Welcome
  17. @zag: Never had a problem with the AJ145s it was the A130s that had the problem! Plus the zoom quality on the A series is far superior to the M series as we found out when we actually tried one, we had to move the bracket to accommodate the lack of Zoom on the M series and that is why we decided to buy the AJ145s as we didn't have to move the brackets and it only took 10 mins per device to fit. Never looked back
  18. We have Casio XJ-A145s site wide here, had 2 replaced due to faulty part but that is all after 3 years they have been superb and the Teaching staff just love them for their clarity and ease of use, They also do the M series as @zag has mentioned
  19. @DrPerceptron: Using D2D2T where the Tape drive is connected via SCSI connector and the initial D2D is over Gig Ethernet this is what I get using Symantec BE12.5: Differential: Gig Ethernet D2D 80GB = 3.50hrs SCSI D2T 80GB = 0.45hrs So you can work out what 200GB would be fairly easily, Hope this helps
  20. @DrPerceptron: What is your system setup i.e. D2D2T or just directly to tape and what software backup app are you using?
  21. @SYNACK: Its because the RMMC utilises Postgres DB rather than the AD using the Postgres DB, the RMMC stores the information in the Postgres which in turn is utilised by RM components on the Server and this transposes the information into AD. So if you edit the information in AD it will not alter the information in the Postgres DB so until this information is corrected in the Postgres DB it will keep failing. @TomHD: Please PM me for some helpful information
  22. @TomHD: There lies your problem! You only have to delete the computer account in the RMMC as it uses a Postgres database to store all the details and then passes that information on to AD, I would suggest you log a call with RM so that one of their engineers can sort out the Postgres database for you, I am sure they would have come across this before so should be able to sort. You should get some training on RMCC4 before you go altering anything as this can destroy the whole RMCC4 installation and things will not run as you expect them to, you can when you get used to the RMMC4 way of doing things then use it very functionally to do a myriad of things which will help you run the network effectively.
  23. @TomHD: When you say you have deleted the computer account from AD did you mean after you had deleted the computer in the RMMC? A little confusing?
  24. @NewFormz: Is this any help: Cookies Also here: Permissions As Moodle times sessions based on cookies it could be something to do with your browser settings if you have updated across the network, Hope you get it sorted
  25. @JLambert97: It seems to me that you have already made your mind up! "These are not the droids you are looking for!"
