I had a Maxi and it was an excellent car at the time. I also had a diesel Maestro that I used for pulling a big boat trailer. It hardly noticed it was there.

Once again I've been roped into taking a group of Y7 kids (10-15) for special activities on a Wednesday afternoon for half a term. Past sessions I've done have included Basic programming, playing in a band, flight simulator, videography and outdoor education. This time they must show the skills they have developed to the school or parents. Other staff are doing circus skills, photography, arty stuff and I've been asked to make mine computer related. I'm tempted to do flight simulator again but I'm open to ideas.

You'll probably find that you get a whole heap of other services thrown in. For our several £Ks a year we get synchronous broadband via a managed proxy server, filtering, email, web hosting, technical support and loads of extra goodies. I would suspect that providing secure internet access that meets all requiremets in terms of security and safety is going to cost you a bit more than £35 a month.

I've lost the plot with our lesson times but we get a 15 mins break after L2 and 50 mins for lunch. Each Friday, a member of staff has to sing solo in assembly. It's my turn on the last day before the half term hols. I haven't decided what I'll sing but it will probably be Nessum Dorma again as the kids seem to like it.

I share banking passwords with the wife. If one of us got knocked down by a bus and all that. I also know her email password, simply because she is incapable of logging on herself.

+1 for the Librarian. All of the cameras etc. are logged on the system and booked out in the same way as books. They appear on the printout when overdue and are chased up. The only failing is that they are not locked away and staff have been known to help themselves.

I got one of these last time around and am very pleased with it. I've just learnt that we will be changing at the end of this financial year. Has anyone done this and is there a lot involved?

As opposed to ours which are six monthly I based my comment on what I had been by the LEA when I questioned why they came so often.

Have you tried Windows error checking with the surface scan option?

Don't forget to budget for the 6 monthly inspections. I think these are mandatory in schools.

Our kids need the opportunity to try the activities that these centres offer and to develope new skills. Needless to say, the big axe is pointed their way.
