I found this TS 150 and that equates GL-60 to SAE 80.

I can remember using infonet in 1990 with a 300 baud modem. I then got a 1200/300 modem and no longer had time to make a cuppa whilst a page downloaded. I had a list of numbers around the world that I could dial into. Then I got a laptop with a builtin 2.4k modem. Someone told me that was the fastest practical speed a telephone line could handle.

I believe the last thing the RNLI would want is government funding. Maybe the Air Ambulance is the same?

I saw the one about the cat that travelled in time. It was ok, a bit silly in places.

I was just looking at a Headteachers' Newsletter. The front page had a list of contents, one of which stated: Pupils unable to read Dickens, claims author.

One of our TAs has just knocked on my door to say her hotmail account has been hacked and spam sent to evryone on her addressbook. She says if she tries to log in to her account a message comes up asking for her mobile phone number to reset the account. Sounds a bit iffy to me?

Thanks. I did tell him to try this and he now says that it will open but not print? I've suggested that he save the file and then open it in Word to see if that works. Trouble is, he's a bit set in his ways and can't see why we won't post it like we always did. It's a doc file we are sending BTW.

Does anyone know if there is a problem for Mac users? One of our Governors cannot open Word documents we have sent him.

I've just had an email fro their tech support. Seems they had a problem yesterday that has been resolved. Fingers crossed.

I've just been in to a class where they are having problems. Two out of thirty have got in, the rest get a #2032 error, whatever that is. Too many people in the World I suspect!

We have a Samsung 32" TV that plays MPEG through a USB port. I use Camtasia to convert the PP and it works really well. The TV was around £300 so a bargain.

Is this a consistent error across the board? Often, they go out at the edges. There are all sorts of suggestions why this happens, electrical interference is a favourite. If the errors are consistent, something you could try is to calibrate using a whiteboard marker, so it leaves a visible mark on the board. Then use the iwb pen and hit each of the marks you have made and make another ink mark. Then go back to orient compensating for the error. Eg. if the second mark is 5cm away at 2-o-clock, then orient 5cm at 8-o-clock from the orient point. This sounds a bit of a hassle but might get the boards working until you can find what the problem is. I have to say that 5" seems to be quite a large error. The ones I have seen are usually a cm or two. If a similar problem is occuring on several boards, then that is strange.

Our kids love Scratch. What has worked well is getting the more able ones helping the ones who are struggling.

What clients are you running it on? I'd planned to use the HT's existing Toshiba laptop but after looking at the installation guide, it doesn't look as if it will be up to the job.

Are there dodgy sites that stream matches? A bar I use in Portugal for its free wifi, often has a laptop connected to the tv screen.
