The Galaxy Ace was free on the contract. Looking at the reviews, the main negatives were the screen resolution (480x320) and the 800MHz procesor not being lightening fast. Battery life got good reviews.

I hope I don't live to regret it but I have signed up for a deal with Carphonewhorehouse for a Galaxy Ace phone, 250m, 5000 texts and 500Mb for £7.50 a month. I don't make that many calls and I just wanted something that I could get emails and do the odd bit of browsing.

I just cleaned the plug, sprayed WD40 on all the moving parts around the carb plus a big squirt down the air intake. I turned it over a few times with the plug out and then poured petrol down the air intake and turned it over again a few times. Put the plug back in and it fired first time. A bit of smelly smoke, from the WD40 residue I suspect, and I've cut front and back lawns. It still hunts a bit, so I may strip it right down in the summer hols.

Must be a nightmare, I hope there's not too much damage.

Oh, my daughter and family are staying in Newport. They were on S4C last night.

Took the kids sailing yesterday and it was great. Warm sunshine and strong winds. Lots of swimming. It's the first dry session we've had this summer but there was a lot of paddling as the lake was up by 30cm.

I'm trying to install PolicyCentral on a Windows 7 machine and it is failing with the above. Google hasn't been much help. Before I go back to Forensic Software, can anyone shed any light?

Thanks, it is a B&S 3.5 with an auto throttle. I have cleaned the filter and plug. The governor springs look very slack. I'm also told that the carb diaphram can get distorted and should be replaced. I'll have a look for springs on ebay.

We have used it for years and it does the job but is tedious to use. The annual support fee is outrageous in my opinion. Kids like it. We had the fingerprint thingy but that was useless, the kids had to wipe their hands first and it cost a fortune in wet wipes. You still had to help it by entering the class and even them it often got the wrong child. According to Microlibrabrian it was because their fingers were too small.

I have Class A on my licence and looking on the DVLA site it says Class A can ride a medium power bike and two years after passing the driving test can ride a bike of any size. So, as I passed my test 46 years ago, I guess I'll be ok getting a Ducati Desmosedici RR. I doubt if I'll get life insurance though!

My cheapo Homebase Sovereign lawnmower has never run that well. Now it has packed up altogether. The plug is very sooty, if I clean it the engine runs for a minute or so then stops. I've cleaned the air filter and I cannot see any adjustment on the carb. I'm reluctant to start stripping the carb down as I have no manual for it. Looks like I will have to get it serviced

A lot of our little erks can't remember their names, let alone a random code. When they get stuff like that, Educationcity for example, they write their username and password in their planner.

It could be that the vga output from this laptop is lower than the others and it works on other projectors that have good cabling. A dry solder joint could be the cause. I had to reflow the solder on an IWB base plate because of the poor soldering. Get the stepladder out and plug the laptop straight into the projector as others have suggested. It will prove the cabling one way or the other.

I just tried ours (7.144) and it's not case sensitive. I always assumed it was, @Sivadam could well be right.

The High School our kids move to use intake year, surname, first initial of firstname 12BloggsJ. So we do the same but give them the year they leave. That way, they keep the same username at the High School.
