  1. @Jordan01071 You have mentioned THREE things - do I need all three? I have ordered the first one (Genuine....) Do I need both of the others or only one? Thanks
  2. SchoolCare/PSD group Have been dealing with Jason for 17 years and he will ALWAYS go the extra mile to help out 0845 8622660
  3. Thanks so much!!
  4. ' @JOrdan01070 I looked at your link for the hot end thing and you said to buy something else as well? Can you link me to a definitive thing or thngs that will definitely work with his A2+ I would also like to buy an autobed leveler and would really like a link that definitely works with his printer. Maybe some different filament too? Sorry to be a pain but I am scared of getting the wrong thing!
  5. I showed him your post and he tells me that he has done everything you mentioned. I am wondering about buying an auto-leveller or a hot end thingy for Christmas?
  6. Oh goodness, you name it..he had huge issues with the filament not sticking down, sticking down too much, not flowing properly, flowing too fast/slow. not flowing evenly... Is it hard to change the firmware? He is an enterprise software technical architect so if it is straightforward there shouldnt be a problem. Maybe a hot end change is the answare
  7. He has a glass bed already, sadly. It is an A2 btw. What about an auto leveller? Would that be useful? Why does he need a hot end? (agian,.....I know it is tempting...)
  8. MrwITch has an ANET A2+ and I would like to buy him something for it for Christmas. TBH he has had endless trouble with the thing -but he is enjoying mucking about with it I have no idea what else to get him so if anyone has any ideas, please let me know (and no jokes about the fact that he can surely print his own accessories)
  9. First he fixes what I said. Then he mispells my name and adds a diminuitive.... Changing you into a frog might be too good for you.....hmmmmm
  10. Only the black character was substantially different. I dont mind things not being 100% accurate but Poirot's appearance is a huge deal and mentioned multiple times in every book
  11. I enjoyed it but as always with Christie it was a bit contrived. BUT given that AC explains very carefully what Poirot looks like, why did Branagh go for a completely different look. And what's with the invented past lover?
  12. Southampton Anywhere along the waterfront Unusual views of the Ichen Bridge University Botanic Gardens (most people dont even know they are there) Cruise ships against Southampton Water Just outside the city you have got so much to choose from including the New Forest, the Purbecks, the Isle of Wight..you will be spoilt for choice
  13. I know there are endless arguments about this - but the fact that digital is an encoding as it were of an analogue signal means that there is a possibility for change TBH it depends on your playing medium. It always seems odd to me that people spend a lot of money on music and then play it on computers which do not have very good audio in them. It used to be that we were really careful about amplifiers, and speakers, but now that seems to be less of a concern. If you listen to music on substandard equipment, it doesnt matter what the format is, you won't get the full experience
  14. I can hear the difference. Digital is TOO perfect - your ears aren't as good as that. It's a bit like seeing things in HD on TV or film - our eyes just dont see the world in that much detail so it all looks overbright and a bit flat.
  15. Cassette tapes degrade over time though. I have tapes of me in my school orchestra that have sadly stretched and are unusable - mind you they are pretty old
  16. Vinyl wasn't baffling - analogue sounds SO MUCH better than digital. What is baffling is issuing digital recordings on vinyl - they won't sound any better than they did on CD! But tapes - yeah - very strange
  17. That is very good
  18. We have a mattress with an inbuilt overlay of memory foam - around 6in I believe. It is warm in the summer, but not bad, and it is SO comfortable. It was expensive but we have had it a few years now and it is worth every penny
  19. The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster A childrens book - I recently rediscovered it. Absolutely brilliant and still very relevant given the emphasis on numeracy and literacy in schools.
  20. Well done!!
  21. What hasn't been mentioned is bullying - a great deal of which happens in toilets. Several local schools now have open plan toilets - that is with no wall and door containing them, so anyone walking past can see the sinks and the toilet doors. They are mixed gender as well. Seems like a good idea to me and the students don't seem to mind. There are closed in toilets around the school as well for those who can't cope but on the whole it works pretty well
  22. I am watching Stranger Things two episodes at a time to make it last longer
  23. If you had read my comments earlier....
  24. Yes, I know about that but I still say he isn't suited to being funny
  25. Absolutely agree. Thor is NOT really a comedic figure so whilst the film was fun, it wasn't really in the genre. Thor isn't Starlord
