  1. Had this on ebay, I said collection all other the place was it a MAC Tower and a Apple Studio Display, buyer paid, I contacted him through eBay multiple times about collection address, not one reply and he complained that he had not received it.
  2. 5406r supports muliple MGMT modules I'm sure.
  3. It might be worth checking where the file it ran (if it ran one). We set up something similar but the file would be replaced nightly for those users that did not want their PCs rebooted and removed the schedule.
  4. The obvious choice would be a 5406r. We've put in 6-7 in the last 6 years, 3 of them I put in in 2017, no issues with any of them. You can stack them or you can get even get dual management modules for them. We only use them for top of rack switches currently but I should imagine they would be fine for core. The only issue is they might go end of life soon (if not already). We do use stacked 2930f's in some places but the SPFs are limited and once you stack you could lose 2 of the 4 10Gb SFPs. 6300F might be a substitute.
  5. Disconnect a PC from network after startup and see if it does it. If it does then disconnect from network before you start it up and see what happens. Does it specifically reboot after log in or jus PC starting up, if it only does it when logged on not sure why it would be set up like that.
  6. Wasn't going to indulge but a soldering iron station I was looking at was almost £40 cheaper and a helping hands station was also £10 cheaper than normal. Getting into some different hobby work that does not mostly involve a computer :-)
  7. Had issues too. Changing local DNS on PC to google resolved and helped pin point the issue to DNS, call to Jisc and it was confirmed a wide spread resolver issue. I'm not sure if root cause has been found yet.
  8. Task Scheduler not showing anything? Any ideas how they deployed?
  9. Patchsave
  10. I don't see why that should not work, each base station/phone should have an independent connection to the provider of the voice solution. I do run a 3cx at home and it does save me money compared to a normal line even cheaper than my ISPs voice product per call. I even have set up CID rules where numbers that are not known go to voicemail and any numbers known go straight to handset but if no answer then go to voicemail, I have not got this flexibility with my ISPs voice package without paying extra. Runs as a VM on Synology. Cost of a Pro license cost me £160 annual then the cost of the SIP trunk per month with 2 numbers £16. Once get all relatives to WhatsApp (or similar) will consider binning the 3cx/sip system completely.
  11. I'm pretty sure this works if you have the number in the phone book of the 3cx system similar to if the number was in your contacts on a mobile phone.
  12. Could you not add the Windows 11 machines to an AD group and use that in the NPS rule rather than relying on the OS as a condition?
  13. MS carp nlasvc?? But yep as to rule out run ping tests to external IPs as well as external FQDN to make sure they resolve but also nslookup against Google or Cloudflare public IPs as others have said.
  14. Hmm, from my own experience personally, experience of an education IT support role where they unfortunately for us used VM for the LEA provided internet and a work colleague who VM have been sending the wrong type of engineer out to for over 2 years I'm jus not a fan of VM at all. Yep they all can have issues and most non VM connections is going to be Openreach or a contractor on their behalf anyway.
  15. I also had a Pi that could connect to Unifi Protect cameras and display a live feed from multiple cameras on one page. Below is the tutorial I think I followed.
  16. If there is a medical reason then fine, the other reason some people are incredibly ignorant and lazy (or ignorant and impatient) and that is not a good mix. You only have to watch some of the police shows i.e. motorway cops and see the mentality of some people when they get behind the wheel of the car. Even in real life the mentality of some drivers actions is mind boggling. I'd say 90% of people that either overtake breaking the speed limit or recklessly I catch up with whilst doing the speed limit. People that drive in the wrong way to a car park then spend 1 min reversing into a space that they could of driven straight into if they'd gone 10 metres down the road and used the proper entrance, the one without the no entry sign, there was no one else around in front of them either Ashley Neal Youtube channel is a great watch.
  17. Agree, many YouTubers sing praises for Unifi APs and Unifi Switches but some do not recommend them for firewalls for enterprises at all. They are getting better but slow to catch up but they do have good SDN (software defined networking)
  18. Set default as 2 vCPU and increase according to requirements. Why give a virtual machine running Unifi controller all the CPUs :-). Does a Domain controller require 24 vCPUs prob not.
  19. With groups do they only sync whilst in a OU that has been selected for Sync?
  20. Is this a VM. Have you tried rescanning the disks since increasing the virtual disk?
  21. Good call on the Zen :-)
  22. Yep same at previous place, (HR systems??) frequently getting spelling wrong. Was a b*** ache to sort staff, some changes had to be made to SQL tables which only 2 of us could/would do. They did have on site Exchange at the time for staff only so at least did not have to deal with O365 for them :-)
  23. When I did work in a secondary it was intake year (the year of the students entry to year 7 even if they arrived after that date we still gave them the intake year they would of had) the an initial and surname. Most of the time that was OK II don't think their were any duplicates. I'd strongly suggest not using firstname.surname or surname.firstname in student email addresses for many reasons.
  24. Not a fan of VM at all. I was with Cable & Wireless, then stayed when they went over to NTL and then stayed a bit when the went to VM. The minute they went to VM I started having issues to the point where all the support calls were refunded as lasted at least 10 mins. A previous job had our LEA internet provided by VM, lets jus not go there at all, so many issues such a long time to get anything done. I've not personally had issues with BT at all but there have been like 2 issues when I was a field engineer but that is it. City Fibre not available in my area :-( .
  25. I think there is a way to intergrate Tapo with Home Assistant, really after a solution that does not require an App at all now. My iPhone and iPad don't like playing with apps (Sonos for instance jus don't want to know when trying to add a new Sonos speaker).
