I think we paid about £580 for ours. We're actualy costing them against RM ones at the moment and they're coming out about £250 cheaper. Child friendlyness wise they have pretty much the same anti temper features as the RM. However the RM one is better made. Also the bolting down kit is extra on the Viglen.

We've got some DC7800s, very happy with them. However all the parts at propriatory, and they will be a pain to maintain once out of warranty. They mount to the back of a special monitor. We also have some Viglen Omnimo 3s. More expensive, but they use standard parts. Stone are an excellent company, will still use them for stardard form factor computers. I assume you're thinking of writable roaming profiles. No data gets saved back to Mandatory Profiles (thank god, we've got one that used by about 700 different users). EDIT: I assume I just use the %logonserver% when I specify the location of the user's profile.

Sorry Dolman, I think we're going round in circles here. Sit down, spend a good 5 minutes clearly describing what you're trying to achieve, then someone will be able to help you.

It depends how you want to use the software for, if you need the virtual machines to talk to your network you need to install aditional drivers and possibly alter some of the network configuration on your target computers. Have you been asked to install this? EDIT: I'm completly baffled as to why you want to deploy software if you don't know know what it does. Virtual box on it's own isn't very useful till you've built some virtual machines. If you just deploy virtual box without providing virtual machines a class of students would have to run through windows setup before they could use virtual box.

Does anyone keep their Mandatory Profiles in sysvol? Or tried and ended up regreting it? The reason I'm asking is I'm trying to eliminate single points of failure in our network, if the profile can be loaded from any domain controller this should make things more reliable.
