  5. It's meant to be the most boring job known to man. We know get a contractor to do it, it used to be the job of one our science techs, he was employed through the holidays to do it. He gave it up despite having to go term time only to do so. Avoid Oh and our caretaker failed the test, twice.
  6. Going on advice I was given when I worked in industry, nothing with a printed circuit board should go to landfill. It also has to be treated as hazardous waste.
  7. I'd seriousely doubt this is within the terms of the AB tutor licence. Have you discussed this with them?
  8. That's no way to torture a technician. I made a little Autoit application and launched it with PSEXEC. Opens the technicians CD drive and makes a burping noise come from his PC.
  9. THE KILLER BEES ARE COMING.
  10. Forge a Becta document saying all children should be able to touchtype by the age of 9 so it doesn't matter what's writen on the tops of the keys. Or remap the keys to their new possitions.
  11. Half the cost of the scheme is going to met by the 'industry', weather this is delt with by the dealer or the manufactuer hasn't been agreed. But in practice this will either have the effect of increasing car prices list prices or it'll reduce the bargaining power of any taking advantage of the scheme. This could actualy harm car sales. I know the government like to crow about how well this has worked abroad, but in the UK a much higher proportion of new cars are bought by fleet operators. IMO a better scheme would have been to slash company car tax and make sure banks are giving proper finance to leasing operators (some of which are turning away existing customers because they can't borrow to fund new cars). It would also help if the government cut their anti car atitude and stopped punitively taxing motorists. I'd be much more likely to buy a new car if I enjoyed motoring.
  12. I would factor in a few spare motherboards. It'll make your life easier with images etc. if you have to replace a mobo. Are you actauly asking Dell etc. to quote you or are you just going on the prices on their web site?
  13. There's a GPO that disables 'All Users'. EDIT: Administrative Templates\Start Menu and Taskbar\Remove common program groups from Start Menu If you don't have it already, download PolicySettings.xls it's a searchable excel spreedsheet with all of MS's GPOs listed in it.
  14. Doesn't mean you can't use their Linux hosting package. All that means is the server hosting the web page is running Linux, it has no baring on what you're using on your servers.
  15. EDIT: Ignore this, Fraggle Pete has already ansered the question. This is based on when I last had a good look at what SWGfL offered about 18months ago. SWGfL's standard hosting packages will not support Joombla, however they offer upgraded packages with either Linux or Windows hosting. The linux hosting includes PHP and MySQL so should support Joomla, however they won't make guarantees. I think you can however get your SWGfL web address redirected to another host, so you could use a hosting company who offer a hosting package that includes Joomla. You would only need WAMPP if you're installing Joomla on your own Windows server. You certainly shouldn't be putting on SWGfL's server.
  16. You probably need to specify the location of the .reg file and it'll need to be somewhere a users can access it. Bare in mind that the script is running at the workstation, not the server. You could also use the reg write command Reg - Edit Registry
  17. Sounds like the supply teacher should be asking for it to be removed. Or if the school where it was filmed is named you could ask them to remove it.
  18. It'll be the doofer that holds the charge for the flash.
  19. Furniture does sometimes turn up on the roof of our sixthform.
  20. If it's a keyboard or a mouse yes, if it's anything else no.
  21. Thanks for the offer, but do you mind if I decline?
