Hi All I have installed a program Mapinfo on a school domain (CC3). The school then after did not want the program so i deleted the package from the domain. But i am still geting the window installer looking for the cd each time a user logs on. The user has to keep pressing the cancel button and it takes ages to get rid of the dialog box. I have used the windows installer cleanup utility on all computer but this has made no differents. Any help would be good cheers darren

Hi All I have 5 0r 6 rm one pc which wont let me install anything. When i try and install programs i keep getting a message (could not complete installtion in safe mode) The computer boots up ok and i am not in safe mode but i can not install anything please help darren

Hi All We are currently running a cc3 network i have built 5 new workstations. I am having two problems ther first one is that all 5 workstation are outside the LST Control when i look at them on the managment window. I have allow the package RM LST Sag and RM LST Comman to each workstation but it does install on them. The second problem is i can not install any programs on any of the 5 new workstation. When i log on and start to install i get a message saying can't complete install because computer is in safe mode. Any help would be great Darren

Hi All I have a home computer which i reformated about 2 months ago and it is so slow on the log on. When i turn the computer on it comes up with the log on screen i have two users. When i click on the user it takes so long to get the desktop and to become active. It has no start-up programs and not much on the hard disk. Why is this happening please help cheers

Hi I did not check that but when i was trying to install some software localy i keep getting an error saying the computer is in safe mode darren

Hi All I have build 3 new rm all in one computers today. All of them are on the network and i am able to log-in and log-out no probelms. When i go to RM managment console the new computers dont seem to be on-line and when i hover over them it says(Workstation outside LST control). Does any one no what the problem could be many thanks darren

Hi I am going to look dum now but the smartclient.bat file is on the server. how can you run this program if you not join to the domain. Would you put the batch file on a pen drive cheers darren

Hi Before i run smartclient.bat file i have already joined the computer to the domain so i can see the domain. The probelms comes when i run the smartclient to add all the rm stuff that the probelm cheers darren

All the hardware is working and all with the correct drivers installed any help would be great cheers darren

Hi I am having a problem with an RM One Computer which i cant join to the domain. The computer in question has been repaired with a new hard disk and new RAM mods. The problem occurs when i am rebuilding with (smartclient.bat). I have used this process to build other computers and i have had no problems. The process works up to the stage of inputting the computer and network deatils. I have used the same informatiion as i did with the previous computers rebuilds, with the only change being the computer name. After i have inserted the informatiion about the network it resarts the computer. When windows loads up it will try and join the pc to the domain this is where the problem is. I keep getting a error saying (Can't join to the domain security) once the workstation is at this stage i can not go back and it will just keep trying to join it to the domain with the same problem. I have to reinstall the os and try again. I have done the process about 10 times and i am still getting the same problems. Please please could some on help cheers darren

Hi All I am just installed map info software (Pitney Bowes MapInfo: Introducing MapInfo Professional 9.5) on one computer in a school. The school are running CC3 so i done the process of making the package for the software and i have distrubted the package to the rest of the workstations. This is where the problem arises!!!!!! First off making a package within RM is just like installing a program as normal on a workstation but with scans before you start and one after the install has complete. Then what was every installed in the middle was the package. So i did the first scan after that was completed i installed the software on one computer as stated before, after the install complete i decided to run the software. The program started and asked for activation so i went throught the process. When installing the program i put in the key which was provided. So when activating the program you have two options, you can Automatic activation or email activation. I decided to run with the Automatic activation the process only took a few seconds and it was done the program was fully useable. I closed the program and run the second scan. After i asssisged all computer the package i tested it on one computer, this is where the problem is , Logged in as administrator i opened the program and it asked to be activated so i did the process again on the computer all works fine. But if a user logs in the activated window comes up again, so we do the same process but this time the Automatic activation can not complete making the program unuseable. So to concluded the program is installed on each computer if i log on as administartor i can run the program but if i log on as a user i cant get pass the Automatic activation. Here is the weird thing on the computer where i first installed the program all users can use it, the window for activation does not appear. On each computer the the shortcut is looking at the same place and i have copyed over the Application data from Documents and Settings from the working computer to another and it makes no differents. Please help i am out of ideas darren

Hi All I have download Macrium Reflect software and installed it on a workstation and taken a image without any problems, this image is saved on a server in a network share. Now i want to put this image on a different workstation. Firstly i create a boot cd in PE Builder using this guide Macrium Reflect - Blogs and News So i got my CD i boot the workstation up from the CD and i get the boot screen as i should, the problem comes when trying to get my image back from the server. I can not see any network drives what i need is to load the workstation drivers from the boot cd. We are using Dell Optiplex GX620 with Broadcom netxtreme 57xx gigabit controller. When creating the cd it saved it as a ISO file so i cant add drivers to it. Is there something i am doing wrong or anyway i can add these drivers when creating the CD Please help cheers darren
