SOunds like either a network loop or a faulty network card producing lots of chatter. Try installing Wireshark on a computer and seeing what MAC address all the trafic comes from.

Have you given seriouse consideration to have the ADSL line upgraded to leased line or SDSL. ADSL isn't really designed for this sort of use.

I find deleting Tempory Internet Files usualy clears that. dolmandj, is there any sort of popup blocking installed? Possibly google/yahoo toolbar?

Are you actualy having any problems? As Andy has said all MACs should be listed, not just the ones connected direcly to the switch. It's good, if the switches don't know the MACs they don't know which port to bung the data down. Most switches the MAC table clears when you reboot the switch, but it'll fill back up very quickly.

The easiest way to do this would probably to put the particular users in a different OU (it could even a child OU) and then add an extra GPO that runs the script. Is this something you want to run once or everytime they log on. If it's something you only need to do once another quick and dirty method is to use the CONCATENATE function in Excel to build a batch script that'll do what you need.

Ours are on a spread sheet, works fairly well. We have to odd issue where some pillock either leaves it open (locking others out) or they copy the sheet to the desktop (instead of making a shortcut) and end up making bookings that only exist in their own little world. The main thing we have is good management support. Someone mentioned teachers changing other's bookings. If someone did that without good reason the assistant head would be asking them to explain them selves.

All you need to do is register for self assessment with your local tax office. Then make sure you keep records of everything you spend and everything you charge. They'll send you a form every year, you fill it out and send it back (or get an accountant to do it). They'll then bill you.
