WOL needs the mac address without the colons. I have a spreadsheet of macs and then use the following function to built the batch file; =CONCATENATE("wol ",REPLACE(REPLACE(REPLACE(REPLACE(REPLACE(B55,3,1,""),5,1,""),7,1,""),9,1,""),11,1,"")) In this instance the original Mac address is in cell B55. You can also use find and replace to get rid of the colons.

How old is the projector? Bare in mind that projector throw distances are not standarised, some projectors can be very easily replaced with more modern models, others can't. If it's an old projector that might need replacing in a year then you might end up paying to have the ceiling mount refitting when you replace the projector. It should be fine, we have two virtual DCs (also doing DNS and DHCP), I've only assigned them 1GB ram and 1 virtual CPU (they are server 2003) and they're fine.
