VMWare server does that, but it's a bit plop. Has anyone done a video conference with a school in France. Not SKYPE or MSN but a proper H.323 conference with a dedicated VC unit. I'm going to have to do this in September. I'm wondering do they have a system similar to Janet Video Conferencing service that I'll have to go through, or will the school just have an internet connection. Also how well resourced are french schools, are they likely to have a Polycom and a full time network team, or will it be a web cam brought in from home and setup by a teacher (as was the case when I VCed a school in the US)?

I had a simular issue when a whiteboard was plugged in to a particular computer.

Does the MSi install any patches, MS updates or any dot net stuff as well as the software. I've found that the mechanism in MSIs that initiates another installation doesn't always work properly when they're being run silently. The solution is to install the patch first.

Just remember, all your efforts to idiot proof a system will just create better idiots. Make sure you know who equipment has been issued to, so you know who to chase when you don't get it back. Always read the manual (just make sure no one sees you doing it). To you a printer is just a piece of computer hardware, but to everyone else it's a status symbol.
