I am looking into options for backing up our Google Workspace, but for the life of me I just don't understand the pricing models. Cubebackup is pretty self explanatory number of users, provide your own storage, but I just don't understand Veeam's offering and I am awaiting a reply from Backupify. Our Google usage amount's to about 700GB. Anyone using Veeam to backup their Google Workspace and can help to explain? TIA

Hi All I have come in today to update and reboot the servers. Updates went ok except when I restarted the Domaine Controller VM from the host it will not start. It looks like it is trying to find the disk that was in the USB caddy but that disk is no more, any ideas how I can start the DC. See images attached: TIA

Clone the drive out of windows and work on that, that's if it clones. Then use recovery software to try and obtain the files from the clone.

We have the 3190 I am not sure there is a function key on the 3190 to lock or unlock the touch pad. In the past I have just left a usb mouse to use, to get into the system and unlock when logged in, seems to work that way.

So I entered one of my images into a Photocrowd competition. The write up is by Verity Milligan. Not a bad result. https://www.photocrowd.com/photo-competitions/new-joiners-landscapes-611-landscape-photo-contest-15145/entries/371474/

Did you have the R6 and lens on loan?

Are you a member of your local camera club? There is a group on fbook called Canon Photography UK you could join and ask there if you use fbook you will get a more local recommendation and advice from other canon users and advice of repairers in your area if any, or your local pages its all hit and miss finding someone though.

Hi All, Came across an odd one yesterday with a teacher that had been using Google Drive for desktop on her school laptop over the long weekend. She had created some folders put some files in them, edited the files and saved the files. When she came in yesterday the folders and files were missing not in her drive folder on the laptop or in drive in the cloud. I tried to replicate the same scenario on my laptop and it worked as it should do, folders and file appeared in drive and in the cloud. The only way I managed to find the files in the cloud was by advance searching in drive in the cloud by date and it found the files in the search. They were there but the folder they should have been in was not. I could open them and drive would convert them to doc's format to edit but it would not let me move them to the folder she wanted in the cloud even after creating the folder in the cloud. In the end I selected all the files in the search criteria specified and downloaded them onto her laptop into a folder she wanted and then it synced with the cloud. What surprised me as well was that the activity panel showed her last work that synced was the beginning of April. Anyone any ideas what was going on? Thanks May the 4th be with you:)

Hi All, Last night I rebooted the Domain Controller and Sims Server VM's. A couple of issues if anyone could help as I am not that experienced using Hyper V and Veeam. Issue 1 Domain Controller VM failed to boot up after updates were installed, when I checked the error it highlighted that a USB Hard Drive was not connected see image attached and and when i turned on the the hard drive it booted. The USB is used for taking an adhoc backup for keeping in the safe in another part of the school. The disk is marked as offline anyway if connected until a backup is taken when I bring it online. Anyone know how I can get it to boot without having the USB drive attached and turned on. Issue 2 Checkpoints in Hyper V console. Veeam has created these checkpoints are they needed as they are dated last September. To be honest I thought that Veeam was recreating them every time it ran a backup and I should just leave alone but thought i had better ask the question as I have read that they shouldn't be there. This VM Server booted fine even though the DC didn't. See image attached: Any ideas? Thanks

Granted adding wet clothes into the environment will add more moisture, but if the correct spec of dehumidifier is obtained then actually a dehumidifier pulls out the moisture from the over damp environment where mould growth is an issue, but the cure to mould problems is ventilation the walls need to breath and dry out and when they are coated in moisture repelling building materials it can sometimes exasperate the problem. I lived an 300 year old house made of stone with no cavity walls and we used a dehumidifier regularly for drying clothes on those wet days, it kept the moisture levels inside the house down so that we never had any damp or mould problems. We still use a dehumidifier in our conservatory for when those wet days prevent drying outside and the glass which is cold to touch but not wet\damp is clear of condensation (that would normally come from the damp clothes) because the dehumidifier is doing its job. The electric used running a dehumidifier was far less that putting the heating on.
