Yep check backups first before doing anything, if its 2008r2 could you just build the other server with new OS and then all upto date etc?

+1 for Zioxi, had the ipad and laptop trolleys for years and still going strong, only one issue but is more of our school design fault is the metal carpet strips in the doors, they stop the trolleys dead and have to be lifted up to go over them, I dont mind but sometimes forget and it has gave me wrist ache on many occasions.

paulellam replied to sshabir's topic in Windows Server 2019
With correct planning It did not take long, make sure you can access all devices that have static IP,S, make sure you can get into every switch, active device anything that will need the subnet changing,. pm if you need to do- 12 replies

IP address Range increase-Dhcp- Windows server 2019
paulellam replied to sshabir's topic in Windows Server 2019
I extended my range in the autumn, I went from 255.255.255.0 to 255.255.252.0 so I basically reset up the whole scope, de-authorised and re-authorised re added the reserved scope etc. Changed the subnets on RM router was done first then I changed switches n other active bits of kit., then servers, then set up the new DHCP scope. Only other devices like static printers to change subnet on then. This is a short explanation due to lack of time lol. Also the above was a temp measure until better switches are procured in new budget for our vlans etc- 12 replies

Stayed at her ranch in Barweiler near the ring with my bother in law a few years ago, he knew her very well, she told us to get stuck into the bar and just make a note of what we had, she be back at 10pm after she got back from filming with Top Gear in Scotland that day. She got back and had a few beers with us and told us about her day, such a down to earth lady, no hairs or graces, a funny gal too. She cooked us breakfast in the morning which might seem odd to people, but actually it felt so normal thats what she did. She was genuinely interested in my job and working with children, and then gave us a tour of her house being built next door, packed us of with a case of beers for when we arrived home too. A great experience and so sad that she passed so young, a superstar to many but so down to earth. RIP Sabine

Wondering if anyone has been successful with a request for more devices via the DFE request system? We are inundated with requests for devices and have given out everything the school has that can be used.

Hi all, hope you can help with this? we are a primary school and have a 0365 tenancy, its only been used by staff so far, I have managed it for 5 years with success so far... I want to set up some students as a trial to enable them to use the office capabilities but do not want them to have access to email/outlook. I want to limit access to certain other apps in the suite also. I think I have a good understanding about how to achieve this but would love some help/input on the correct way to achieve this avoiding any pitfalls that you people who are a bit more adept at this may have come across. I,m going to start with one user before rolling out to the rest, no rush as I want to get things setup correctly to avoid future issues. Any help would be appreciated Many thanks Mr E
