Kroll I dealt with for a staffmember here recently, would recommend, very good company, though recovery can be not so cheap, but again it depends how important the data is to the person.

we have been using these for our apple TVs at the school I work, no loss of picture using an ipad on a screen with these thats noticable, not sure about the Wii though Kanex ATV Pro

I would recommend the Jedi robes, I got bought some by my parents year before last, real quality robe and v warm, plus it looks pretty pimp

was wondering about downloading it, ill avoid it now though looking at this, am only just on V7

Still have the JD here from last year that my parents bought me, its my preferred poison these days along with Southern Comfort, Jim Beam and Captain Morgan, managed to hammer through a litre on an afternoon/night out at a friends barbeque last summer, wife was not impressed at the time, even though it was watered down with ice Was still steaming the next day too, lovely stuff and this thread just made me realise how much I feel like one now after not drinking for about 5 months

We have a 4 Disk Buffalo Linkstation LS-QVL 8tb here thats replaced our old unit, original one was a single disk half a terabyte unit, that died after fan failure about 5 years into use. We use it as our staff media server and offload our VM backup information to it also I have it setup in Raid5 and it gives us about 5.5 tb of usable space afterwards. Works well, only thing I will say, is when you get it, patch it up to max as we had massive issues initially sharing it on our network and mapping it because of the low level of firmware the unit came with.

you can see it coming, I feel for people who have bought the RT platform, if it had more features, it could have been better, but £700 for a pro is ridiculous, comparative to any other tablet/and bluetooth keyboard combination

I think its more to do with the wages side of it from what I read and make of that article, a UQT goes in at a lower rate than an average entry level QTS teacher (though I am not 100% on that), I assume the school is duty bound to vet a candidate with the appropriate background checks, regardless of "status". I get the feeling this is more to play into the hands of the teacher "overpay" argument (I say that word overpay, but I am a techie and have no idea other than the broad scale of what teachers can get paid reported in media, I am not arguing whether its deserved or not here and am not for or against it) and the fact that the government just are not prepared to get to discussion directly about these things, same attitude they have with Doctors and the NHS, they just dont get to grips with anything directly, so indirectly start watering stuff down.

it is a bit of a headache for me too, I totally understand why they did it though at the same time, core of business always comes first

think you can order the media off HP for a price if you are genuinely stuck

its always been a ripoff the memory available to these devices installed by manufacturer, 16gb on an ipad is low if you dont want to be syncing it a lot (I know that feeling), will be interesting to see if anything changes with this, I very much doubt it though

AOL are the death knell of a lot of tech, itunes has beaten winamp as far as im concerned nowadays, wasnt always the case though thats for certain apple have made a lot of improvements, I only used winamp when I first started mp3ing.

using 8.1 enterprise since release on my machine here, just cannot be mucking about with Beta software on the main machine, I like it too, though I didnt have many complaints using windows 8 enterprise before it (yeah I know metro was awful), but I spend 99% of my windows time on the desktop anyway. It has improved stuff, i.e. metro customisability was always a lacking must I felt, now its a much better experience, have 8.1 pro on my home machine too and it works well alongside my Ubuntu installation, only gaming its used for there though now with stuff that is truly awkward or OTT to make compatible i.e. too much faffing about with wine or playonlinux.

my friend just informed me that the AA repaired his car for £35 when the clutch went on it, as he was with their repair cover (up to £500 of repairs a few times a year), think he was paying about £20 a month for him and his wifes car.

doesnt suprise me in the slightest seeing as they manufacture the most nuclear hot running of laptops, that their PSUs would want to try and catch fire too

I would not normally add to an old post either, but to share a negative experience, but having ordered a bulb from these one time, they kept telling us it had been dispatched, this went on for nearly a fortnight, we ordered a bulb then off another supplier and told these to cancel the order for us, which they told us they had done, their telephone service was pretty bad overall and a struggle to get understanding at times. For the bulb off them to arrive a week later with their invoice, we told them to arrange its return and get it picked up as we wont be shelling out for its return, which they did and we have avoided these since then. I would tell anyone to avoid this company based on that single experience, it was awful.
