Hi When I go to Reports > Attendance > Letters > Print Letters, on one particular PC, it comes up with a blank list, but other computers have templates listed. Does anyone know why this is and how to fix it? Thanks Paul

Thanks for that. Am I correct in assuming that full admin rights are not given by default and that I have to apply for full admin rights to BT Lancashire Services?

Hi I've successfully enrolled on the Apple DEP and am using a Lightspeed MDM form BT Lancashire Services. On the DEP portal, I am trying to add an MDM server but this requires me to upload a certificate. On the Lightspeed MDM portal when i go to Settings - DEP, I have the option to download a certificate, which i guess is the certificate I need to upload on the DEP portal. However, when i try to download it, by clicking on the link, I am told that I do not have sufficient privileges. Am i going about this the right way / has anyone else had similar problems? any help / advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Paul

Hi more and more staff are requiring remote access to their school PC. can i just ask what solution people are using for this. We have used Teamviewer in the past but this proves quite expensive. any advice, thought or experiences would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi for the last few days, we have not been able to connect to the dropbox.com website. I have tried Chrome, IE and Firefox and none of them will connect. They all give slightly different errors: IE says: Turn on TLS 1.0, TLS 1.1, and TLS 1.2 in Advanced settings and try connecting to https://www.dropbox.com again. If this error persists, contact your site administrator. I have tried this and it makes no difference. Chrome says: This webpage is not available ERR_CONNECTION_CLOSED and Firefox says: Secure Connection Failed The connection to http://www.dropbox.com was interrupted while the page was loading. The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified. Please contact the web site owners to inform them of this problem. Has anyone else had similar problems over the last few days. I get the same errors on other https sites. Any help/pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Paul

Hi we have created a shared calendar in Office 365. We can share the calendar with members of staff/groups and the individuals receive and email telling them that we wish to share the calendar with them, which they accept. this works fine in Office 365 web mail and Outlook. However, we would like members of staff to access the shared calendar on mobile devices such as iPhones and iPads. Is this possible. I have heard different reports saying that it is or isn't. Is anyone doing this? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Paul

Hi this is a very broad query. I was just interested to know how many people are using OneDrive in their school/college. We are just looking at using it now and are exploring the different options. I have setup OneDrive for business and configured it to sync to a local folder. However, in a school environment, this would not be ideal as the HDD would very quickly become full. I believe there is a way to map OneDrive for Business as well as Sharepoint locations to a drive letter. this would seen preferable as it avoids the local drive becoming full due to syncing. Has anyone got experience of this? Also, I've heard that the mapped drive connection loses connectivity if it is not refreshed periodically? Any thoughts/ideas/suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Paul

Hi just looking for a bit of advice. We don't currently use tablets in school but are looking into doing so. We are an 11-16 Academy and have a Windows Server 2008 network with Windows 7 clients. Ideally we would like to 'manage' the tablets using group policy similar to the desktops. Does anyone have any experience of using tablets and what tablet would you recommend. Thanks

Thanks Steve. That's exactly what we want to do. I take your point about only having 1/2 printers.....

Hi just looking for a bit of advice/experiences here. We currently have a lot of 'localised' printers throughout the school. As a result, we have a large stock of different toner cartridges/ink cartridges to fit the various printers. Maintenance of all these printers is a nightmare and takes up quite a lot of time. As such, we are looking to implement a system whereby all localised printers are replaced with one or two centralised printers. So, pupils will print to the central printer (probably located in the library), the print job will be held in a queue and then the pupils will release their print job from the printer during break/lunch times. We ahave been looking at the Papercut software which apparently integrates with AD. We would like the pupils to be able to realese their print jobs using ID cards if possible but also have the ability to release them using their AD username and password if the card was lost or unavailable for some reasaon. Does anyone have any experience of using such a printing model in school. If so, I would be very interested to hear what you think. Thanks
