I had 2022 just not get on with some old Dell R815s (Opterons) - would BSOD at random. They tick along alright on 2019 though!

Have you tried to initialise/format the disks on DR1, then add them in to the cluster from there as a CSV? Until this, you'll get weird stuff going on across both hosts.

Might be having similar issues with some newly installed Clevertouch 75" IMPACT displays. Very hit and miss what works and what does not, it does seem to be down to 4K and possibly latest standards of HDMI. Anybody else in similar boat? Installers are being very helpful, but I'm interested to know more about this.

Thinking about it, to a degree the school should have known on some level as to get the photos without the students, surely they would have needed to orchestrate the session to achieve this? Thus the class teacher at the very least should have known and wondered what was going on. Regardless, Tempest should not have opened themselves up to this.

Morning all Just a quick Q - is anybody still successfully exporting photos from SIMS with the SalamanderSoft tools? Our installations are missing the GenerateSIMSConfigFile.exe so interested to knowif this is something ESS have taken away, and if there are any alternatives? Cheers!

Spot on. Familiar with the PaperlessNGX Steps 0/0.5 are the trickiest as well as the labour in steps 1 & 2. Is there anything in the guidance that says this cannot be done, or it as simple as ensuring step 0 is absolutely on point to satisfy their requirements?

Morning all The SLT are looking into ways of retaining all paper documentation electronically and destroying the paper copies. Is this a thing? What *has* to stay paper, what can be digitalised? Or is this even a thing? SIMS is in use for a lot of documentation however there is a lot of legacy (leavers) paperwork taking up precious storage space. Looking for any guidance on this, if anybody has come across this one already it would be brilliant to hear your thoughts on this conundrum. If it is possible I'd rather stay away from companies offering this and putting it into a proprietary DMS as once it's in it'll be a pain to ever get out if they fold in the future. But if somebody has a reputable provider, I am ears. Cheers!

Because Adobe are worse than big pharma companies for extortion. I despise Adobe, I have done for many years, but their latest licensing change has finished me off and I'm looking for open source alternatives so we can bin CC. Utter joke of a company.

WB are OK but make sure you get it serviced annually and not just a flue gas analysis, a proper service to make sure everything is OK. I'd recommend Baxi, Vaillant and ATAG above WB however with ATAG being the most expensive ones. Make sure the system is power flushed properly, if you have any really old rads it would be worth upgrading them as you would be able to run the water at a lower temperature but still heat the rooms (saving money) and the chances of them sludging the new system up are small. Make sure there is specification for a filter, and possibly de-aeration devices as well and this will keep the system clean. WB (and I think the others) require a filter on the system to be compliant with the guarantee. You can have vertical flue options and your fitter will be able to discuss this with you to make sure the location is suitable, a frost stat is required to run the system if it gets too cold and make sure the condense pipework is run in larger than 22mm diameter pipe and lagged. Above all else, don't use British Gas and don't accept the cheapest quote! British Gas just sub their work out, and if you go for something too cheap you'll likely end up with a rubbish installation. Follow what the heads asked you do do, other than that a simple risk assessment will do - the basis of which could be along the lines of; Is there a need for this? Yes Risk: Severity moderate (cut, sprain, potentially a break) - Likelihood possible (should be looked at) Can you remove the hazard? No - if satisfactory lessons are to be taught Can you reduce the risk? Yes. How? Black and yellow tape on the legs to make them more obvious, sign warning of potential trip hazards under the screen, competent staff in the classroom at all times to monitor behavior, ensuring the screen is sited far enough from other furniture so that it will not impinge on movement of people, making sure no cables are trailing. No PPE. Residual risk: Severity remains moderate due to it still going to hurt if somebody does trip, however, it is now a remote chance of it happening with proper controls in place - an acceptable risk. If this is not satisfactory - make the screen non-interactive and make an exclusion zone around the screen to allow it to perform its primary function while making sure people remain safe so the likelihood drops to highly unlikely and the risk is almost eliminated. Or do what the H/T has done and eliminate the risk! Sounds like your H/T is on side though so that is a very good thing!

We only do Desktops and we did that as a conscious decision when we opened - no 'I forgot my laptop' or 'my laptops broken' excuses for not delivering lessons - walk in and teach was the idea and it's been a brilliant idea. My last job, a couple of rooms may have been plug in a laptop to teach and it was always a mission. Avoid it where possible, SLT will soon see the benefits of not having laptops as an excuse for poor teaching...

Is the disk clean when starting the TS? What mode is the BIOS in (CSM/UEFI) and is secure boot enabled?
