I believe there is a limit set on One Drive for business... Max 2 GB file size. Users cannot sync a library (shared folders) with over 20,000 files and 2GB file size.

You could just use CAt 5 or CAT6, then order some video CCTV baluns from the net which have power and BNC. Push cable through the wall and terminate the Ethernet attach baluns at either end. Job Done. Thats how mine works anyway.

I'll take a look thanks... Im also looking for the front end development style too.... SO I can create a web portal to meet our needs - I can add client details into it keep track of jobs etc and let other users access the front end.

That would be good, except I forgot to mention I'd be preferable to have it web based....

Knackhq.com We use the above for our customer database, contact numbers, jobs coming in etc. it works. But we are always faced with the possibility that one day we are going to out grow it and it would be nice if we could host a similar thing ourselves on our own servers. Does anyone know of preferable an open-source similar product ? Thanks

You could possibly use PRTG for network monitoring, I love Zabbix dont get me wrong but PRTG is alot easier to setup and talk monitors a lot more.

Seen this a lot in recent weeks. Users with encrypted files... seen some where the file extensions have been renamed to .locky or .whatever it is they choose. In some cases you can just rename the files back. Most times reload the machine and reinstall from fresh and reinstate files from backups.. please note: these viruses attack mapped network drives also so if backups are held on mapped network drives they might be affected as well. Along with any other drives attached to the infected machine. And do pay any ransoms to decrypt your files... there are no guarantees! (obviously we know this as we are IT Gods), but some people don't think and pay the money. One of the ones Ive seen recently starts at the letter A on a drive and work its way through the alphabet, next Folder/File Starting with B, Next with C and so on.

Hi all, As per my post a couple of weeks ago , my online account for my energy supplier is finally setup! Been waiting since November. Here's the issue, received an email form said supplier on Friday saying my meters would disconnect on Monday (today). I contacted them and asked if they could hold of disconnection until the 20th (payday) when I can actually top it up. No problem this seems. All confirmed and all done. Phone call from wife at 10:15... Electric been cut off. Cue angry phone call to supplier. Energy supplier disconnects meter from online account today, so back into continuous supply. Meanwhile wife and 2 young children under 5 at home with no leccy - supplier says meter will now need reset so buttons have to be pushed on the meter. Can my wife manage this ? She's registered disabled and meters are above the front door so she might... she might not. Anyway at this point im ready for going home to do it. Whether this is a 3 hour journey or 20 minutes - the supplier says it is up to me to be able to get it back on supply they have done all they can do. Today as it happens, im in the office around the corner form home, if my wife cant manage without electric and she cant manage to get it back if I worked 3 hours away am I supposed to go home and press some buttons to get it back on (possibly loose a days pay) or will she have to wait for me to get home ? OH just to add, before I told them my wife is disabled they had asked could she stand on something to be able to reach the meters ? Which is fair enough I guess but surely they shouldn't expect that ? Got offered a discount of £20 on my account. I find all of this outrageous.... and am very very angry. or am I blowing it out of all proportion ?
