Is the net2 service and net2 client service running? In taskbar items on the right there should a green triangle for the net2 server. If it is not there, go to applications and open Net2 server. If it is grey colour right -click the icon and start the net2 server. Also, I have a few other questions. Currently, we utilize our main office pc as the brains for this software. In other words, it acts as our server. Is that really the best set up. Should we have a separate pc to act as our server for the keyless software? - The software doesn't require much resources, but for peace of mind I have always installed it on a server where it can be backed up. Also, I assume the software is automatically backed up somewhere on our server/computer, but should we also be making a manual backup to this on an external drive or thumb drive. - The database is automatically backed up, and can be found in the program installation folder in a folder called backup. One more question.....does anyone use the remote software through their web browser. I'm thinking of getting our tech to set that up in case for some reason, we don't have our phone handy, but we are close to a pc and can log in via a web browser. If you utilize a web browser does it act pretty much like the app on your phone. - Sorry I can't help with this as I don't use net2online.

Fortigate - Captive portal if no authentication
jslate1980 replied to mdrabble's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
I was looking at this over last summer with switchshop, if you have any firewall policies in place without user groups applied then the captive portal is bypassed. -
We still purchase ProMonitor but moving staff to this http://totalcollege.co.uk/onegrade-web/. I work for a group colleges looking after networks and infrastructure, so not really involved with the product, other than it is hosted onsite.

Are you using the new client? -
Get rid of exchange. Only 1 year left before exchange 2016/2019 go end of life. Better to purchase services from Bromcom.

SCCM Task Sequence Deployment Failing Error Code 0x80070002
jslate1980 replied to MFG's topic in Enterprise Software
Is the app deploying normally through SCCM deployment? Has the app been distributed to the distribution point? If it is an issue with the application, delete it and recreate. Also tick the if an application fails, continue installing other applications in the list. Within the task sequence.- 16 replies

Why wouldn’t high volume email work in this situation, as all you are doing is putting the SMTP details in?

Roaming profiles are not supported on windows 11. If you need to roam look at fslogix to do the job.

Be aware If the 3rd party Onedrive mapping software users WebDAV to map drives to Onedrive. That WebDAV is being depreciated in the next release of windows. I believe you can still use it in the next release, but it is not enabled by default.

Azure AD, Fortinet Filtering
jslate1980 replied to Alawil's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
I had a meeting last week to look at replacing our fortigate firewalls. I was told that fortinet have a cheaper solution to this issue than having to go with purchasing fortiauthentcator. Not had specifics yet but will update once we have costs. -
We moved from a fortimail appliance to barracuda cloud. It’s a shame it’s missing a lot of features compared. The filter lists on the appliance were amazing. Also having the ability to block new email domains was great.

Azure AD, Fortinet Filtering
jslate1980 replied to Alawil's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
What has been the issues you have had with it so far? I am no where near implementation and I don’t want to touch it until spring bank holidays, as I have multiple colleges going through the firewall. Also may hold off as our firewalls and filtering is going out to tender soon. -

I have been looking at testing this https://docs.fortinet.com/document/fortigate/7.0.14/administration-guide/33053/outbound-firewall-authentication-with-microsoft-entra-id-as-a-saml-idp. Only concern is all traffic is then pointed to the portal page to authenticate, but talking to Fortinet they said you can separate firewall rules to deal with this. -
Here is a good post explaining the sync process. https://oofhours.com/2024/03/30/when-does-a-windows-client-sync-with-intune/

Have you applied Microsoft Defender for endpoint security baseline? As I wonder if there is a policy in that causing the conflict.

Hi We have a Fujitsu Eternus DX100 S4 and am looking for a seller for replacement battery backup units for the controllers. Does anyone know where I can buy parts from? Jon

Am I right in thinking these are cloud only devices? The issues you are raising with authentication are due to cloud only devices not being able to authenticate to the domain. Here is a useful video plus a good article on what you can do to setup single sign-on to the local domain https://msendpointmgr.com/2021/08/15/sso-to-domain-resources-from-azure-ad-joined-devices-the-mega-series/. Personally as @psydii has suggested it maybe easier to move this content to office 365.
