Hi, Like most of you we have lots of photos on a shared drive in school. Does any know of any decent image organization software that could be installed on a client and access a pre-designated drive. Possibly one that does tagging and possibly face recognition. Does picassa do something like this ? Thanks

Yeah that was just with the Skype or Cyberlink program open.

Thanks for the reply. The user had google desktop on I recall but I removed that. It cuts off in both Skype and the Cyberlink program.

Any ideas on this one ? Might just try a different webcam plugged in via usb and see if that works.

Hi I've got an HP Pavillion laptop dv6000 with webcam built in. It says on the camera HP but the current driver installed is a Cyberlink youcam v.2117 When you load up the Youcam software or Skype, the camera works fine for about 30 seconds and it then goes black. However the camera light on the top stays on blue. If you load skype again it cuts off after about 5 seconds. Load it again and it doesn't work again until you reboot. I've tried rolling back driver and installing new one but still the same. Any ideas appreciated Thanks

Yeah, basically they send him a photo, either a scanned one of great Auntie or several raw files if they would like modern ones converting. He does the work on them and sends them it back / puts it somewhere (with a watermark on). They approve, pay him via paypal, and then he sends them the full resolution picture.

Forgot to add. These will be raw files or jpeg so will be too large to email.

Hi, A friend of mine is setting up a business improving old / current photos for people. What is the best way for them to get files to him (not email). Can you add a link on a website to a public dropbox folder so they can drop it in there? Or can you add a form to the site that FTP's is to a certain folder? The dropbox would be better if possible. Still struggling with this. How does the server know how the password is encrypted. Its hosted elsewhere but they have given us permission to use htaccess. No matter where I put the files, I get the password box but it says password is wrong everytime.

Ok, been trying with this. Got a .htaccess file I've put this in the ./html/staff This is the folder on the web server I want to protect I've then create a .htpasswd file. Does this need to be in ./ or in the staff folder that I want to protect. I've tried it above the web root and also in the staff folder. It works but it always comes up incorrect password

Hi I have a client's Windows 7 Asus netbook. When I try to connect to BT home Hub it connects but says Unidentified Network / No internet access. I have disabled the bonjour service. I don't have the #ID.... service Disabled and enabled adapter Tried static IP Connect with another Win 7 netbook straight away. Any other possible fixes. Thanks

Hi Is there a way on our school website to have a staff only area that has pages only staff can see ? It is hosted elsewhere. Not sure if its running IIS etc. Doesn't have to link with AD, just a section that has a generic password on it. Thanks
