Trying to get the proxy settings to work on our machines, have tried several different methods. Does anyone use the registry method with mandatory profiles, ours will not apply the keys. Roaming profiles work fine. If we run gpupdate after the user with mandatory has logged on the registry settings apply.

Group Policy - Deny users ability to create hidden folders
badders replied to TheRobins's topic in Windows Server 2008 R2
What about using a script that runs every so often and removes the hidden attributes on things in the share? Thinks it's something like ATTRIB -H sharepath -
We've worked out what happened. IE11 was deployed using the IEAK and the proxy settings were left blank, this apparently overrides the settings supplied by a GPO until gpupdate is run, we've re-deployed IE11 with the proxy settings set in the IEAK and it seems to be working.

We are trying to set the proxy in IE 11 on Windows 7 and having problems with every method we've tried. Group policy preferences doesn't work, the registry method doesn't work when a user logs on but if gpupdate is run the settings are applied, we tried putting the regkeys into a logon script but they don't always apply either. We have tried different types of accounts (roaming and mandatory) and still have problems. We've even created an OU with no other GPO's in other than the proxy registry policy and added an one account and one PC but it still doesn't apply. Adding a fake regkey in the same policy works, is there anything else that we've not looked at.

We have just purchased a C7000 (2 blades) and 3 x P4500 SANS to replace our current C3000 and MSA2012, what would be the best way to connect the SANS to the C7000. The SANS currently have 2 x 1Gb nics but we would probably want to add 10Gb cards into them and team them to the C7000, we're not sure what extras we would need to purchase to do this. Can anyone help?

Anybody know what the snow's like in Penrith this morning?

We've been using it since 2009 it probably paid for itself in the first month and halved our yearly cost (a huge amount) for just toners alone!

Thanks to everyone who's recommended various options, it's certainly given us plenty of options. We never thought about adding an extra enclosure to the existing san.

We are looking at increasing our available storage, currently we have an HP MSA2012 fc with 3.6Tb (raid10) of usable space. This runs all our virtual servers (vmware) and is now becoming rapidly too small. Does any one have any recommendations for an additional SAN, we would like it to have dual fibre controllers and a minimum of 7.2Tb usable storage when using RAID10. Thanks.

We currently have two file servers both are Server 2008, one of these hosts the DFS root. We will soon be adding a new Server 2008 R2 file server, how would we move the DFS root to this server? The location of the data will remain on the current servers for the present.

Not using IPv6, DHCP server service is running as Network Service (still have warning 1056), we're not using NAP but I disabled it on the scope and that seems to have fixed the problem. I'll keep an eye on it for a while and see what happens, looking good so far.
