Yes, for example our "Staff Internet GPO" has some different proxy exceptions, opens two tabs, and some other pop up exceptions. Also our pupil policy does not allow the change of proxy settings and our staff one does.

I mostly use groups for generic settings ie "Student Internet Settings" will set Homepage, Proxy, pop-up exceptions etc. For things like software installation and scripts I use individual ones.

^ That, however that will disable the entire right click Menu in IE. I have seen some ways of removing individual items from Menus using the registry but I can't find my notes :/

When we used password expiration (we don't any more, as I was nearly killed for it! We now use complexity instead.) the off site domain laptop worked with their old password until it was brought back on site.

Hi all, I'm trying to set up YouTube for schools but whenever I click signup I get a 505 error and the amusing but quite annoying Monkeys bla bla bla. Happening on Chrome (latest) and IE9. Is anyone else getting this? Matt

Well don't I feel stupid. I created an A record and it threw me an error stating that the reverse lookup zone could not be created. I thought that it hadn't worked but it created the record anyway. All working! I'll also add a www. too. Thanks Guys!

Hi all, I have set up an internal DNS forward lookup zone for schoolname.co.uk with an A record for remote. This points remote.schoolname.co.uk to our internal web server which serves some sites which works great. I've hit a snag in that schoolname.co.uk (our school website that is hosted off site) will not resolve so is therefore not accessible. Is there a way around this? My knowledge of DNS is limited! TIA Matt
