1. I didn't have a testing set-up when I started here either Alex. 4 years later I've had my order signed off for an ESXi server! Just keep at it, this goes in your favour as to why you need a testing lab.
2. Yes. Each of our Surfaces can rdp to our RDS farm.
3. Id do a gpupdate /force on a machine and then log in as a test user. If it redirects back to where you want your halfway there.
4. Does it now redirect back to the folder you want it to?
5. Ha, I hate offline files in Win 7. It actually worked in good old XP! Sorry bud, can't think of anything else.
6. At the shd folder on the file server, go to Properties > Sharing tab > Caching and turn off caching (Middle option) assuming that you don't use offline files. Matt
7. Alex, add the filename attribute to explorer (by right clicking a blank space near date modified etc.). This should add the users username.
8. Not the answer you were looking for but we use Quotas here. The disk space bar shows them their quota, not the total disk space available.
9. Stumped... Im using the SQL database for tracking and my web tracker works perfectly. Is my code correct?
10. Does this look right Nick?
11. Anonymous auth was already enabled for that file. The file described in the video is api.ashx and mine is .asmx. Does that matter?
12. Just done that now, no luck.
13. I am trying to get the Windows Logon tracker application to work but am not having much success! I run a command but nothing appears in the logon tracker sections of the site. I have installed the HAP Logon Tracker Installer.msi and am using these commands: Startup "C:\Windows\system32\hap logon tracker.exe" https://remote.schoolname.co.uk/hap "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\HAP Logon Tracker.exe" https://remote.schoolname.co.uk/HAP Logon "C:\Windows\system32\hap logon tracker.exe" logon https://remote.schoolname.co.uk/hap "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\HAP Logon Tracker.exe" logon https://remote.schoolname.co.uk/HAP The only command out of Startup, Logon, Logoff and shutdown that has a parameter telling the tracker what it is is logon, is this right? I can see the logon tracker application flash up quickly when I run a command. Please can someone help here, I'd love to get this going. v9.7 install with Windows 7 32 + 64 clients.
14. I have ran this on all our domain joined clients especially PC's used by the kids! Any problems, it's re-imaged in 15 minutes.
15. Hi myxomato, feel free to start a new thread in the appropriate forum and we will try to help you!
16. We are using HAP+ v9.7 on IIS7 on a Server 2008R2 VM and its solid. I will be testing v10 on a 2012R2 VM soon.
17. Ohh perfect! Ill test this on my dev box
18. Ah ok, thanks Nick, I'll pass this on! Do you have an ETA for v10 Full release and will there be an upgrade from 9.7 or is it a fresh install?
19. Can that only be done on a v10 install? We are currently using 9.7, when my new ESXi host goes in i will be building a v10 dev box.
20. Hi Nick, In school we have an internally built behaviour tracking system that has a pupil client where they can view their stats. We want to extent this externally using HAP. It is built entirely using HTML and Javascript and it pulls the users username from windows in order to display that persons stats. The guy that built it (who happens to be one of our IT teachers) would like to know if there are any variables or anything that he can use to extract the username of the person logged into HAP in order to show their stats? Hope that makes sense, thanks Nick.
21. To be honest I don't know but it's a very good question. I don't think there is a lot of Malware etc out there for iPad, being such a closed Eco system. BUT something did get through how would you know?
22. Huh, what does that do? I've never done that!
23. Have you closed Safari, opened the app switcher (double click home button) and swiped up the app (iOS7) or held the app and clicked the X (iOS4+ I think) and re-opened? I've never heard of an iPad doing this sort of thing, odd! How about a full restart of the iPad?
24. We use Office365 having moved from the LEA last month. It is great! (Minus having to learn powershell in a day!) You will get 99.9% uptime!
25. It's certainly a step in the right direction!
