Anyone having problems with email bouncing to domains registered with One and One. I reported a problem to EMBC support last week and as far as I can gather the problem is with all domains that have been registered with One And One. Seems odd that this problem is only affecting email via the EMBC as Virgin, Hotmail and Yahoo all send email to my domain ok

@EduTech: Sorry little confused here... which VLAN would the router be in? @FN-GM: ISA 2006

One of my schools is in the process of being refurbished which when completed the site and network will be shared with three other parties. What would be needed to share a 10Mb internet connection but keep all four networks separate? I’m sure the answer has something to do with VLANS but I have limited knowledge of networking and I don’t know how it would be put together

We’ve been asking parents for their consent to have their childrens photos on the school website. Now, I see in Sims when I bring up a pupils details, there is a parental consent section and in there, there are 6 check boxes, copyright, internet access, photograph, sex education, data exchange and school visit. I wonder if this might be a good place to register when a parent has given their consent? However, try as I might I can see no way to run a report to check which pupils have the boxes checked. Is there a better way?

Well, after spending countless hours on this reinstalling the BB software and service packs and thanks to the links provided by Willott I traced the problem down the HT having the wrong phone package

@Ric_ Has this been resolved as I’ve got just the same problem. Installed XP using slipstreamed XP SP3 with all other updates from WSUS. Sysprep/mini setup using version 5.1.2600.5512 Setup kicks in asking for information

Had an email from NTL yesterday confirming my speed increase to 10Mb had gone through but on testing I was only getting 5Mb so I gave them a call. After trawling through the options I was on hold for 1 minute... Yes that’s right... on hold for 1 minute! The chap checked my details and said I needed a new modem as was on the old NTL 250 model and I would receive it in a few days. I take back everything I’ve said about NTL (well almost) .

I've not got BB with in front of me but from memory it send the password waits a while then times out.

Spoke to Vodafone last week and they confirmed the HT has BSE enabled on his account but they were unable to help any further and said I should call Blackberry.

Update: EMBC has confirmed the port is open but still the dreaded Blackberry is refusing to sync. I’ve resolved myself to setting-up a BIS address and just forwarding email from the HT Exchange account to a BIS address and even that doesn’t work. Email is not bouncing back but it’s not received by the Blackberry either.

As the title says is it safe to install IE8 on a SIMS machine. They are currently running XP with IE7. Cheers,

HT is interested in digital signage for the foyer so I’ve been looking at the different systems available. I’ve seen a demo for the Sedao system which looked very impressive and I’ve read good things about the Navaho MediaCAT system, and not so good things about Samsung Magic Net. So out of the three systems which do you use and what problems (if any) have you experienced? We are on a budget of £3000 and due to space we are looking at a 40” screen.
