  1. No, that’s not possible as it stores the legally reportable session mark.
  2. You need to change the timetable cycle in NovaT to remove that 5 minute block of time altogether. Brief instructions here https://www.schoolicts.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Helpsheet-NOV1.pdf. I would recommend NOT doing this in the middle of an academic year - it’s too easy to mess it up - been there and done that and lost some reg marks as a result. There’s only a few weeks left, set up September’s timetable using the new cycle for the school day that you need.
  3. Just see last year when all their systems collapsed under the load of uploaded word docs and pdfs for the TAGs/CAGs for more evidence of this. But yes you're right, those still asking for things on disc are a joke. Whether its audio recordings or videos they really need to get with this century. Sadly they have a captive audience, and the backend systems are not considered when subject leads choose which course to do! And don't get me started on the costs....
  4. Thanks @davidpott and @RootsSchImp - that's what I thought and your confirmation saves me reading more oblique MS support pages! I'll sort some Pro licenses out for our Senior/Pastoral team and wind back my grand plans for dashboards for all teaching staff
  5. Thanks, it does, until you realise it falls in this column: Additional capabilities when workspace is in Premium capacity And the 'premium capability' is a snip at from $5000pa per domain
  6. Hi All, Belatedly joined the Power BI fan club. It's great and I've built a wonderful little dashboard pulling data in from all over to help us monitor remote learning provision. I've now hit a snag as I'm trying to share it. I've bought 3 licenses for Pro hoping that would be enough and we could share the reports to staff who have free licenses. But having spent hours looking at it I'm starting to fear that you need either a very expensive Premium account for the whole domain, or Pro accounts for all users even if just viewing as an app or via Sharepoint? Am I right in thinking this? Thanks
  7. I've hit another snag with this. If I add TAs via the Focus>School>Academic Structure>Edit Lesson Staff and Rooms menu in SIMS, every time a new version of the timetable is uploaded from Nova-T those allocations are wiped out again. Is there any way around that or does it render that method all but useless? (With hindsight I've hit this problem before when trying to rotate staff in a block in SIMS rather than in Nova-T). Thanks
  8. Ignore me - the other staff member is visible on 'My Timeline' when you hover the mouse over the lesson.
  9. Thanks! Is there then an easy way for teachers to see where they have a TA assigned to the class? Doesn't show on the timetable for the teacher that there is an additional adult with them?
  10. No but would also be interested in any solutions for this. I know the TAs could all be added to Nova-T and but on as an additional adult in each room. But with TAs timetables always in a state of flux I'd rather avoid this. It would be like building 25 extra teachers timetables where they dot from lesson to lesson to lesson.
  11. Apple AirPlay is picky unfortunately and whatever end device you're sending the signal to if it's not specifically on the same wireless network it won't work, even if the devices are all wired together in the background.
  12. Excuse a potentially dumb question... ..want to use Airplay to send iPad to projector screens. Working with legacy projectors that don't have HDMI so using an Apple TV is fraught on some with horrible converter boxes and worse. We could use Reflection or Air Server apps on the desktops to act as AirPlay receivers from the iPad. But for them to work with iPads the desktop would need to be on the wireless network. So we could pop a wireless dongle in each PC. But is this going to play havoc with the wired connection? They're all on a speedy network so don't really want them using the wireless when not required. Advice appreciated!
  13. Is that integration over and above what they currently offer?
  14. Seems far more expensive on their website? Room Booking System - Online Room Booking Software
  15. Well thanks to the very kind @AChantler we've been testing out two units and are impressed so far. Few issues setting limits so devices pick quieter point but we had 42 MacBooks simultaneously log on and stream HD video today with no issues. Copying a 3Gb file over the network was slow at that point, but then it would be! Still nervous to commit as we may well be moving to iPad 1:1, every supplier you speak to says *sharp intake of breath* "well you'll need Meru for that". A solution 10-15 times cheaper may seem too good to be true, but I'm beginning to think that in these times of shrinking budgets we'd be mad not to!
