  1. Thanks, I can see why they wanted to shrink the database and makes our 373MB file seem tiny.
  2. What size was the database?
  3. On Inventry should the data purge be enabled as our Inventry backup file has grown to 373MB. I would have thought it should be to remove old visitor records with GDPR and all that.
  4. Several different models but the one in front of me is the CP150. The others models are better and have lasers dots outlining the field of view but are around the same age.
  5. I found the Aver visualisers we have stopped working after updating to 1903 but after the September Windows updates they started working again. MS must have realised the error and patched it.
  6. Nothing like starting at the deep end! I started home brew last year and been using different kits and currently got 80 pints that will be ready for Christmas. One American beer I like is a mocha porter https://www.amazon.co.uk/Home-Brew-Beer-Kit-American/dp/B015K1VUN4 but there are plenty of English beers of equal quality.
  7. I don’t know which exception did the trick but it worked and tested with IE and Chrome. Microsoft had long list of URLs that needed allowing for 365 but as I was running out if time and I’m not back until Monday I allowed the TLD as listed. We had a new Sophos XG firewall fitted over the summer and also upgraded Windows from 1803 to 1903 but I expect it was the firewall as not all the exceptions got copied over to the new firewall.
  8. Most staff here use Outlook but a few die hard staff still want to use the webapp version. Now, we are having problems with 365 webapp in that it's not showing new emails until the user presses F5 to refresh the page. I expect Sophos XG is blocking it somewhere. Any idea what needs unblocking? Other that that it appears to be working as normal. Edit: I've sorted it by adding a number of exceptions to Sophos. ^([A-Za-z0-9.-]*\.)?live\.com/ ^([A-Za-z0-9.-]*\.)?microsoft\.com/ ^([A-Za-z0-9.-]*\.)?microsoftonline\.com/ ^([A-Za-z0-9.-]*\.)?office365\.com/ ^([A-Za-z0-9.-]*\.)?office\.com/ ^([A-Za-z0-9.-]*\.)?outlook\.com/
  9. Hi, We are a primary school and I've set a fine grain password policy to set the student accounts to lockout after 10 invalid login attempts and reset after 5 minutes. Just wanted your opinion as already year 1 have locked the account and they are only using a 3 letter password and all lowercase. Perhaps I am being too hard and expecting too much!
  10. Yes, at least 100mm concrete
  11. A few months ago I bought a timber shed which has now started to split. Looking at the image just above 23”, it looks like the board was nailed too close to the edge so catching the lip of the lower board causing the lip to be pulled apart. I know timber sheds move and crack but would you say this is a manufacturing defect and I’ve got a case for refund? Thanks in advance.
  12. Yes, moved the folder and the problem went away. Thanks for the tip!
  13. I'm trying to delete a folder from a shared area but running into problems with ownership permissions. The server is running 2012r2 and I've removed all but one folder but when I try to change ownership of this folder I get 'you do not have permissions to view or edit this object's permission settings' I've tried Takeown running as admin, logging on as the local administrator, using PSExec to run as system and each time I get 'ERROR: Access is denied' What can I do next? Thanks in advance.
  14. That looks fantastic. When I was younger I walked 125 miles of the pennine way and the scenery was just breathtaking.
  15. No didn't think of that
  16. Absolutely! I didn't hear anything back from the office so I guess the new address worked.
  17. Thanks both. I've asked the office to check if https://interactions.signin.education.gov.uk is indeed the correct site but waiting to hear back, but from the look of it I think it will be.
  18. Morning all, Sophos is blocking this .gov website and warning of a SSL error https://efa-information-exchange.education.gov.uk When I check the cert on https://www.sslshopper.com/ssl-checker.html#hostname=https://efa-information-exchange.education.gov.uk it says I may need to install an intermediate certificate. I'm not about to install certs for every website I come across with errors so what's the best course of action? Thanks.
  19. Could be, but it was first reported not working last week.
  20. I’ve been asked to look at parentmail chat as the office staff tried to use it and all they got was a spinning wheel. Looking at the Sophos XG logs doesn’t show anything blocked that I can see and all traffic to vcc-eu2.8x8.com is allowed. Any ideas?
  21. Groupcall spent 45 minutes remoting to the SIMS sever trying to fix it and re-initialised each time they made changes but in the end said it must be our filter. I've now 'fixed' it by adding the proxy name and IP address to the SIMS server HOST file so groupcall is happy again but it highlights a problem with the software.
  22. Been having fun and games with groupcall exporter since our Sophos UTM was replaced with an XG on Monday. Groupcall logs show proxy not found which is to be expected as the UTM was the proxy but now the XG is set to be a transparent proxy so no address needed but try as I might I cannot see where groupcall has set the old proxy address. In groupcall management the proxy field was already blank but it must be set somewhere. Groupcall support spent a good while trying to fix it and came to the conclusion it was the XG fault but I think otherwise.
  23. 13 but we could easily cut that in half as some extensions are rarely used.
  24. Just thought I would share our costs for Orbtalk hosted VoIP. We have 13 extensions and costs including calls for the last 12 months comes in at a little under £1500 + VAT. It's on my to do list to look at moving hosting and maybe even have a play with on premises 3CX but being part time that could be an issue if something goes wrong when I'm not working.
  25. Thanks everyone. Looks like tonight I’ll be comparing phones as Amazon has got offers on ending tomorrow.
